Alex got given over to become a knight from his serf parents as a young child, and they're still probably alive, though he never really knew them and he doesn't care for them. The knight who squired him, Sir Lance Arotos, is dead though, and main angst source.

I always intended on Seyena's parents being alive.

Although FFS probably tipped them over into the dead category with Charlotte's backstory, as I believe both her and Seyena's villages were close together (I could be incorrect, though) , seeing her father outside of Charlotte's village probably meant that either he knew the villages were going to be razed, or they already were. Coupled with (What he believed as) the death of both his daughters relatively recently probably drove him into suicidal revenge territory.

Re Seyena's hometown, Charlotte only ever asked if her village was in the "mountains in the north." Which is a pretty big place. The Charstory did leave the nature of the dude with the Eye pretty ambiguous.

Actually I just remembered the Deeeead thing in the VN after writing that, but it does still fit. I frequented boards where things like that were very frequent, although typically in a tongue-in-cheek kind of way of making fun of stereotypical adventurers. Burned down orphanages with children with great destiny and giant swords and all that.

It's vague, I don't think I've ever mentioned Sal's mother and his father only a few mentions. Who knows really? 'Cause I don't.

I know right? It's almost like it's a random image that switches between my avatar 1/3 of the time and a "no redirects allowed" image the other 2/3 of the time JUST TO SCREW WITH PEOPLE. But I wouldn't do something like that.
