Olison's Iron Sword would only do 7 damage to Valor. That's...probably your best bet  :-\

I really love how the "Sleep" stave has essentially turned into "stop hitting yourselves."  It's like the rage stave before, only more hilarious because we're all doing it to ourselves, rather than the spell forcing it. 

Then again, I suppose just sitting back and waiting for everyone to wake up normally would be a bit dull.

With rage, we had to knock the sufferer out or cure them somehow. With sleep, we just have to hit the person even if it does no damage. I prefer this to rage :P

Plus, there's also the additional EXP from healing the damage after if you use a stave.  I suppose that is rather win-win.

From what I learned at the swordplay demonstration a couple weeks ago, it would actually be the noise waking him up without any feelings at all from the impact.

...which is pretty much what is happening really.
