Anybody want to tackle this with RenPy? The levels of hilarity would be immeasurable.

I did seriously try to make a FEF game by hacking Fe7, but I ended up failing miserably, and not getting sleep for 2 days in a row because of it.

Whoever told you that modifying any console or handheld video game is "easy" needs to be slapped in the face.

Because when you want to do anything cool with the game, you have to do this:

Yeah, I've tried myself. There's just too many mechanical differences in the GBA FE games to be able to get it seamlessly in. That and all the problems with incorporating a romhack in the first place. It's just too tricky

And I definitely wouldn't call anything involving the disassembling and re-assembling of a ROM, or any piece of software easy (ninja'd by FFS). If anyone feels like trying their hand at it, this is the guide I've used.
