Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Man, if there's a visual novel, there needs to be straight options too, mang. Some of us don't care for hot man on man action.

Anybody want to tackle this with RenPy? The levels of hilarity would be immeasurable.

This is going to be one of those things, isn't it? Where we say we should/are going to do, but never actually do it?

All I ask, is if someone does end up doing it, don't make Seyena butch lesbian who pick on poor single dudes D:

Gamer girl is close enough.

Y'all are undermotivated.

But I can't do any of the drawing either (except maybe some backgrounds, but ripping those would be easier...), so I guess I shouldn't be mouthing off.

I did seriously try to make a FEF game by hacking Fe7, but I ended up failing miserably, and not getting sleep for 2 days in a row because of it.

I've wanted to do that kind of thing, but I could never figure out how. I looked for a tutorial on how to do it, but the only thing I found was map design for FE.

It's SUPPOSED to be relatively easy, all you need is a Nightmare program, modules, and a clean version of the game.

A lot of things are supposedly easy, yet aren't. 'Tis the way things go sadly.

Whoever told you that modifying any console or handheld video game is "easy" needs to be slapped in the face.

Because when you want to do anything cool with the game, you have to do this:

Yeah, I've tried myself. There's just too many mechanical differences in the GBA FE games to be able to get it seamlessly in. That and all the problems with incorporating a romhack in the first place. It's just too tricky :(

And I definitely wouldn't call anything involving the disassembling and re-assembling of a ROM, or any piece of software easy (ninja'd by FFS). If anyone feels like trying their hand at it, this is the guide I've used.
