I've decided that 'let's join Royal Guard' group is the group that I will follow through Intermission and I will concentrate narrative on it.

The rest of PC's will rejoin shortly into the next 'half' of the game (possibly within a chapter, maximum 2).

You sure you still want to do that, considering it looks like it's only going to be about three people? To be honest though, I think more people are going for the other option since it sounds less boring. I mean... Royal Guard is "you spend six months learning patrol routes, taking orders, doing menial tasks, and guarding the palace" as opposed to "six months going on adventures in the Forsaken lands, killing undead, uncovering loot, and exploring ruins".

To be honest I wanted to plot-murder Tantallos so I don't have to deal with his side story, but that was going to be a stretch.

Tantallos or not, those six months will be fast-forwarded.

Except, you know, none of that is likely to happen (except for the undead-fighting). Otherwise Haspen will either have to punish anyone who doesn't go by making them fall behind (and thus, be less useful post-timeskip), or arbitrarily give them bonuses to match whatever your group finds. The end result, assuming Haspen wants to maintain balance, is exactly the same.

It will happen like always; the active players score levels, those 'on wait' will be leveled up along with them.

I'm talking from a character perspective, not a mechanics perspective. I don't expect anybody to level-up off of things that happen off-screen, Sirus.

I'm personally wondering how IC relations will work after the time skip. Those who went together would obviously be much more comfortable with each other, friends or enemies, most likely if they spent half a year together. It's kind of hard to not get to know people you spend half a year with, for better or for worse.

Kind of a shame, had a funny scene in mind when Ami/Tenebra and Ormm are together, with the wyvern being agitated at her presence. Ah well.

Yeah, I feel the same on this, I guess it's necessary, but it takes away from a lot of fun character development.

I'm done with fleshing out Anja, a bit more stuff for her storage, with her deployment mechanics, with the overall plot and new npc and minor stuff, like new tiles becasue everyone loves new tiles, especially snow-covered ones.

Oh, and the timeskip sheets are done too, I just need to do some checking with your guys' current supports.

You have two 'support points' you can spend.
You can form a Support with previously un-supported Character, or promote one of existing Supports by 1 rank. Only one point can be used for the latter option.
Remember that the supports need to be paired! You don't need to form supports with anyone, if you don't want to.

4. Weapon Procurement: Steel Sword
You can ask for one Weapon your Character can use, from ranks E to D, except Unique Weapons*. You can't ask for a weapon if you have 3 or more weapons (staves included) on you already.
Rank E weapons cost 200 gold, Rank D cost 400 gold.

*Weapons with special names, effective bonuses or weapons that are class-locked.

Field 3: You cannot form Supports with someone outside your group.
Field 4: Available only for Gregor's group. Tantallos' group will be sorted out later.
