Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

I never seen a single Fire Emblem game in which you can move someone two tiles, then move someone else, and move the first guy another 2 tiles :P

I just caught myself considering a possible replacement character for if Valor dies.

I think I'm getting paranoid.

Obviously wielding an axe is a gateway to death.

Adrien wielded an axe. COINCIDENCE? I think not.

Oh please, like you're any better with your uber-accurate shamans and Killer-weapon mooks :P
Though I must say, this loss of evil evil axemen pleases me.

So does our healer. You trying to get her killed? :P

I only said it was a gateway to death, not to getting killed.

But axeguys in any game with weapon triangle are target practice.

I mean, not only the axes are heavy and need high CON to maintain evade, the axemen in general have low skill/evade.

Except the moments when they're Berserkers. 30+ base damage AND high crit chance? Lolhax.

That was my favorite thing to do with Ross in FE8: Make him a Berserker. EVERYTHING DIES!

This is depressing.

Mostly every enemy on the map can either:

A: Kill Seyena outright

B: Soften her up enough to have her killed outright by the buddy that's right next to them.

I'm probably going to visit those houses (15, 17 to be precise) just to get out of range. If someone's downed, the enemies will likely be softened up enough for Seyena to rush in and nab 'em if necessary.

Or I'm just acting like a coward...

That's the curse of pegasus knights - they're weak until they get good weapons/promotion or both.

I almost always use them for quick transport/rescue moves :P Especially in FE6 cuz I want to clear everything. Oh gods, FE6...

Axemen are used because some of the most useful friendly units in the early game carry spears. Cavaliers are fast, hard-hitting, and can take hits. Knights can stop entire armies dead with proper support just by being a wall. But a couple of axe-slinging bandits can kill either of them, in many cases forcing a restart.
