I think it's more that people want to RP, and muttering to oneself provides an opportunity to jump in and start a conversation.

I also threw something together for Riven, though it was more goofing off after I got stuck on my homework.  I hope I'm not stepping on any toes by doing this for IronyOwl, and I hope it looks alright; my efforts at drawing the bullseye golden design on the hat by hand were kind of...poor.  I couldn't quite manage to alter the hat to hood one eye, either.

Do you mean the design or the sprite for the hat itself? Because the hat kind of reminds me of Dark Magician Girl, but I don't know of any FE characters who wear a hat like that. ^^^; Regardless, I think it looks great.

Seems close, but not Laurent, Miriel, nor Ricken wear their hat in a pose facing a direction that matches that as far as I'm aware.
