Tantallos just joined the mission because it was of his own interest, to study the dragonstone, he knows a bit about it and just pointed out some possibilities to Gregor, but that is about it.

It would be around this time that a stream of green liquid (and some solid chunks) flew out of one of the trees. What it hit showed something not very... good.

Fun fact: Bears do not like being vomited on.
Fun fact two: If you vomit on a bear, expect it to be very angry.
Fun fact three: another bear is going to tear my guts out over this

This, combined with the fact that said bear could not find what threw up on it, prompted it to start barreling towards the nearest living thing, which jus so happened to be a certain group in the forest...
