Anyway, I'm considering building either a super-defensive char based around supports and I'd need someone offensive who he'd support, or a (selfish) swordsman with a penchant for duels and a penchant for flair.

Eh, we've got quite a few sword users already. Maybe a knight? They run around in heavy armor a lot (to the point where a lot of normal attacks will bounce right off), but tend to be super-weak to magic.

And getting supports would be up to you and the other players. Trying to base an entire strategy around supports that you might not get could be risky.

also I could come up with a char for another class if you need a class so baaad.
Lemme clarify: By I'd need someone to support, I would need someone to join at the same time as me, like Charlotte and Gregor.
Edit: Actually reading the player's handbook, I don't think I should count on that at all...
But whatever! Support-strategy fits the char, and I'd be perfectly happy to wait and risk being beaten upon!
...I mean, I intend to play a knight, with Guard, so I'd be being beaten upon anyway.

As Tantallos was low on HP his first skill would activate, but.. half of 6 would not make any difference as the monk attacked twice, what a luck. :|

Yep, Tant's AS with the Flux Tome is 2, iirc, so he can get doubled by pretty much everything on the map.

EDIT: Also, what confused me, was that Gregor didn't stab Mage A when he had a chance during Player Phase
