From Chapter 8 on, non-promoted enemies give 3 exp per kill and 2 per hit, opposed to usual 3 for hit and 5 for kill.

Promoted enemies keep using the usual exp-giving schedule. And bosses are bosses

Personally I would give the Hermes' Ring to either Zako so he becomes ninja mage, or Alexander, so he will be a tank that cannot be hit twice. You already have a +2 AS, after all
