...You know, I am not the most dangerous unit to get berserked. If I draw the sage closer with that, it's pretty ideal; I don't have the highest Hit or MT, and I'm not going to get dropped by you guys.

No, that's actually the range of berserk staff Sage don't have to move an inch to berserk you.

Sage also has a pretty decent chance of pulling it off, even at max range. About a... 65 percent chance roughly? The calculations are kinda wonky for staffs.

Either way, best get my action in soon. No FIRE AND BRIMSTONE PART FOUR sadly, no time to do so effectively because work.

If Alex gets 'zerked, I could just fry him in one hit with his current hp level to stop him from doing anything, if it comes to that. He's got poor RES, so I should be able to do it, not to mention I've got 11 SPD and he's only got 7 so I can double attack him (for once, it's actually possible for me to do so!).

It's actually becasue Ailment staves have range equal to 'MAG/2'.

Sage has 19 MAG = 9.5 => 9 range.

Killing him quickly is basically the name of the game here I believe.

He shouldn't have enough DEF to be too much of a problem if we close in quick enough, and at once. I would say that Ollison, our wyvern guy whatsisname, Charlotte and maybe Gregor or Chris would be our best bets to killing this guy. The key is to close in quickly and hammer him before he bezerks too many of us. The rest will have to deal with his guards, which should be just fine for us spellcaster folk.

I have a better and logical solution. We toss Alex against a wall to open a hole and use it as a new path to avoid being bothered by the sage.

What if he comes after us or hits us through the walls? He's got a mighty long range with that staff of his after all.

Though I admit, Alex would make a good battering ram, what with all that metal on him.

Can I just say that a zerg rush of our heaviest hitters strikes me as a rather foolish plan? Alexander is in position and the staff's hit odds aren't all that great. Let's just have the sage burn through his 5 or so uses while Ami and Seyena make sure everyone is patched up. Then we can push forward.
