My idea for a high school AU was a little different and likely beyond my capabilities. Will share later, must go to school now.

So my take on the AU thing was that instead of playing as one of our characters, you instead play as a new transfer student. Senior Class President Anja welcomes you to the school before realizing that she lost your file. You fill it out, giving your name, gender (guys play as Ephraim, girls as Ericka), and reason for transferring (gives you free support points with one of the other characters; for instance, if you chose to transfer for the school's athletics program, you'd meet Alex the football jock and have a head start with him).

Still working out minor details, such as how and when I'll actually do this stuff...
