Yeah, I have to say I'm curious about that too. I saw the avatar fad, but never a game that got shut down by it.

Not necessarily shut down BY the avatar, but I remember the two biggest culprits both had them.

The forums love of games where you roleplay as voices in someones head has produced a couple people who take any mention of voices in a suggestion game Pc's head as meaning that they have free reign to do that kind of thing. It spread to everyone playing that game and they stubbornly kept it up despite the GM's hints that he wanted them to stop it.

I like suggestion games, but for lots of them, I lose interest partway in. The beginning holds the most allure for me.

That said, I kind of want to do a deserted island ISG as a ploy to improve my drawing skills, but do you think there'd be interest in it?

There has been a lot of deserted island ISG's. There would be interest, but as you said, it would quickly be lost unless you keep it interesting.
