Pft, iron man is the way to go. No manual saving, no take backs, no mercy!

Also, its X-com Gamer, you should always expect that. If its above fifty percent, you'll miss, if the enemies have below a fifty, they'll hit. The only thing that's assured is high explosives. Always make sure your point man has an HE set to a deadman's switch.

Tell me about. After several tries, I managed to actually do quite well on terror missions. I found the secret is the wonderful laser pistol submachine guns, they can get you through a lot. Then first base defense, I had a line set up to shoot any aliem that shows up, what happens? Small bombed from across the map, everyone knocked out, got to the game over screen without even knowing what happened until a day later.

Oh lord, my first terror mission on Enemy Unknown, I brought all my best guys, two corporals, a squaddie, and a sarge, corporals were heavy and assault, sarge was support, and squaddie was a sniper.

Then those zombie things come around, and my ENTIRE squad cannot kill it in one round, and all of them except for the assault (Shotgun, you know) HIT.

And then it ate my sniper, and we eventually killed it. I was fighting the jet-pack guys off, my whole squad still camping around my cut up sniper, blissfully unaware.
Then, zombie. It ate my support, two more zombie guys came up, rocket guys finished off my heavy, leaving my assault with my only set of upgraded armor, (As everyone is still using default weapons and armor)

My assault pulls badassery out of nowhere, runs out of range of the zombie creepy things, crits one to death. Rocket guys can't even hit her, her badassery is too strong. Somehow, she survives the mission (If only because I sent her away without even rescuing a single civvie) after fighting her way through an entire HORDE of aliens.

But I'm approx. 2 months in to the game, and everyone is still using default weaponry. Should I have better stuff by now, because I've somehow restricted my losses to only one country, with all the rest either low panic, or not-that-much-to-worry panic.



But more on topic, since Bounty Hunter is taken, and we have 2 fliers lined up, I might just go knight-general or soldier-sentinel on FeF2.
