Consider this: Gregor and Derick have a duel with same quality weapons (Iron, for example) and in neutral conditions (no terrain, supports and so on). On whom you would bet?

Derick the Swordmaster of Doom
Gregor the Tanky Stab-Sentinel

Super-ridiculously-quick-not-at-all-final-version-of-Sentinel-Gregor gooooooooo.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Just to give a basic idea of how it would look. Still needs a lot of work.

Nice. Is the shield custom?
Taken from a paladin spritesheet, actually. I figure if Valkyries can spawn pegasi out of nowhere upon promotion, then a cooler-looking shield shouldn't be very hard :P

Alexander as a general basically = ball of armor :P
Actually, being a general will be quite beneficial for me because the great shield'll help me survive mages, and also to make it so the weapon triangle helps me defense even moar.

Hmm. You do have a point there. I could probably take a shot at this swordsman then move off the tile, allowing Irony a shot at him - unless Tantallos didn't kill the mage, in which case Riven will be needed down there for that.
Tant or Riven can both reach the merc whether or not you move, although you can't shoot then move unless you're mounted sadly. Taking a pot shot at the merc would be useful though, or the mage, or whoever really. It may be useful for Riven to bring Derick back with the concoction though, would give him enough energy to do a counter attack, which he'd probably crit and kill the merc.

I would vote for taking down the mages, since they can do the most damage over time thanks to our low-RES party, but I'm not down there fighting it.

Yeah, but keep in mind we will need to steal one of those Mages to get that speed item before killing him.

Right now, I think we're all waiting to see how Tantallos is going to fare against that mage. Whether or not we revive Alex this turn does hinge on him being taken out.

That's Mage A, he's in the other room past the winding hallway, if I remember.

I know. That was a headsup. And with some luck Tantallos will crit again and make Haspen rage, if not Riven can finish him and on the next turn Tantallos can attack some random enemy with low RES to recover his HP (as his HP will be below 40% if the mage manage to hit him).

Not quite the result I was hoping for. I suppose I had better move Chris into range to attack the mage, ask Riven move up to attack the Swordsman, and have Daniel move to where he can use his Concoction on Alexander. Assuming Chris can finish that mage off. If not, it'll be up to Riven.

...Why the hell did he move there? That completely fucks up the plan as I had it laid out. >.< Well, whatever. I'll edit it.

And it's edited now.

I said that I would do that to avoid being knocked down by that myrmidon. Alex's body will work as a shield.
