Okay, I now have time to explain some of the plans I've been brewing.
First an explanation as to why the current choke won't hold: see the sage to the east? The two sages and the archer to the north? That's why. Hopefully I don't have to explain further, because I figure it to be self-explanatory.
Okay, one plan I see is that we move the defensive lines back.
This can take two positions, either with someone (19,10) and (20,11) or (19,10) and (19,11). The first variant, Seyena would have to be at (20,11) due to the sage, which sadly opens her up to some nasty melee. The second option leaves it to where we have some more variance in what and where we can situate people because then we'd be out of range of the group outside, but it leaves more gaps to fill in case of (inevitable) cases of people dropping dead. But with the second, more people could focus on one unit, and only one melee attacker could be let through at a time.
Now, with the first variant I would suggest Salvatore as being the other slot due to his greater defense, although he'll need someone to heal him (although if that matters is questionable with the hell druids, I'll be surprised if he's up next round). He will take less damage from the enemies but has pretty much no chance of dodging anything really. But then, a lot of holding the upper section will require luck, sadly.
With the second variant, I suggest Sal and Valor holding the lines. Seyena would need to run healing duty and offensive duty (although healing duty will probably be more important to be honest) and take care of any mage that gets in the way (although by then I think a gap would of been made in the defense).
Sadly, there's little more to this plan because it involves a good bit of luck to hold, but keeps people the most cohesive.
The second plan is to corpse wall them, but I can only imagine we're all kinda iffy on that plan.
It involves someone killing the sword master, and planting themselves where he was while there's also someone between them and Seyena. Enemies can't get down there, but at the same time healing the people in front will be a major chore and there's a possibility of people getting downed and dying. More so, because there is so few spaces to heal-down dance 'em. This plan is simple but effective, as they literally won't be able to get down or any enemy at the top able to touch whoever is at the bottom (heavily suggested to be Seyena).
My last plan, of course, is to say fuck all of this and go with something weird and not applicable for this turn.
A running/healing retreat to a place with better positions, honestly. We mount up and beat feet to a better position, but the problem is that this requires coordination with the NPCs and they go after the enemies. So, it will take at the least a few turns to pull off right and if things go wrong its utterly disastrous. So a sort of last option kind of plan really. We can out maneuver all of the enemies, so we may be able to do a healing retreat.
The whole point of this plan is to throw everything so large of a loop that we may be able to slip through it, honestly. I'm almost kinda hesitant to suggest this because there's a lot of ways it can go wrong really, but I'm putting it here for completeness sake.
Either way, I suggest Seyena healing Sal so that he's (more or less) able to take more of a beating, and Valor snagging the pure water (trade away a vuln) and apply some onto either himself or Sal. Sal will take the position closest to the stairs, so probably him because he'll be open to more attacks compared to Valor.
Yeah, not to happy with any plan really, cause a good bit of it is crossing our fingers. And people are gonna get downed, and the north may be breached. Well, unless we do the corpse wall, which we can do if needed. This would be our only chance to pull it off though, and it leaves the corpse closest to the enemies at the most risk of honest death.
Wish I could pick an option that would go great, but I'm just not seeing it right now. Just gotta play this turn by turn I guess.
We all tell the NPCs to grab whatever medicine they can and use it, and warn them of any risks. I'm worried about Danya due to the archer below.
I suggest Olison to move within range of us, we'll need his pass and help with both the top and bottom soon.
EDIT: Also, Powder, there's two mages in range of you. May wanna pop that pure water while you can, 'cause they can and will down you.
