Well, unless we pull off some serious blocking shenanigans, your stoppage is gone, so blocking enemy movement is out of the question. You could move forward or west and Javelin Ernest (praying to Accurasaur for a good hit roll).

Yeah, probably. Just remember to stick to ranged attacks; last thing we want is for Ernest to take down more than one person per phase with that damn murderblade of his.

Quick question: Who do I send my gargoyle to nibble at? Wounded swordmaster, healthy swordmaster, or just sit someplace acting as a wall?

I doubt he'll be able to hit Ernest.

Yeah, Ernest is simply too much for a gargoyle to deal with. Can he potentially kill the wounded swordmaster?

Absolutely not. Swordmaster has 18 HP left; gargoyle deals 10 damage to squishy casters, usually 4-6 to soldier-types. No crit to speak of either.
