If we can get Edwin in range to Sleep the thief, we should be in good shape on that front. Thief will be down for five turns, and he can't move on the turn he wakes up, but by that point we've either killed him or Edwin can simply Sleep him again.

Wind Sage...that might be a little more tricky. Good thing we have two dark magic users on the team who should be able to deal with him easily.

It's not that bad. Mortal Wounding started out a terrible threat and now is just another part of the big, abstract DPS race. See: Arvis battle.

Hold on, we don't know that Ernest is here or not. See that big hidden area in the upper-right corner? I bet that's our destination, and I bet that's where the boss (whoever he/she is) is located.

On the other hand, if she needs a nest of highly dangerous pests in her lands cleaned out post-haste, she might trust her right-hand man the most to do it cleanly and efficiently.  Not his fault he arrived too late to stop most of them from teleporting into the castle, but at least he can finish them off and get back to take care of the other half.
