To be honest though, that only worked because it was only three people on the mission, and a survive mission. I wouldn't have been able to do that on any other mission- with the full group, it's only a small percentage of the group I can Guard at once- everyone else is still going to get murdered, and if we want to actually complete the mission and not lose half of everyone else, we'd be unable to keep up the Guard. Similarly, the Holy Water allowed me to resist both the specially Haspen placed Alexander-nerfing magic units, and as usual people with swords. Don't have Holy Water anymore, and if I did, it would wear off far before the mission ended.
...this rant will do nothing, I know, but I typed it so I'm going to post it :|

Not like Salvatore needs the protection, only two people can touch him last I counted and that's one monk and the sage with bolting. And the sage with the sleep staff, I suppose. The last two really account for everyone, and the three of 'em have much juicier targets to pop besides the wyvern rider. Or possibly not, considering that Sal is the third most fastest unit on the field right now I suppose.

Sages get Levitate?  I thought that classes only had the specials that they have listed on their present class, even if they used to have it in a previous class.
