I think that if I get promoted with the guiding ring we have, then I'll sell one of my books and get a poison staff or sleep staff if I can borrow money. Otherwise, I'll just do nothing if Riven gets promoted instead, though I would REALLY like to get promoted to get started with my sage levels.

Can we say if Irony doesn't want the ring right now, I can have it?

Well, it doesn't affect me at all but if IO doesn't want the ring right now, we might as well give it to Zako. We might find another by the time Irony would want it in that case.

What does sleep do exactly? How long does it last for? Does it make it easier for someone to hit the victim of sleep? I'm asking because I'm torn between getting the sleep staff or the poison staff...

Whilst Sleeping, the victim cannot move, and also guarantees autohit on the sleeping victim. Then Sleep is lifted.
