Fuck. And here I was hoping for a brilliant mate on the third turn. F3-F4.

Wait, can the Dragon jump diagonally?
Yes. Why couldn't it?

You were planning to have a 15 year old magical girl kill Witches by drinking them under the table!? It's original, at least.

Hm?
4 players, 2 teams of 2.

Essentially two games going on in parallel, on a single team you will have a white and black player. Any pieces that are lost are given to their opponent on the other board, which can be placed anywhere on the board providing it doesn't initiate checkmate, is on the first or eighth rank and replaces a normal move.
First team to checkmate wins. Simple, Fun, and utterly brilliant.

I thought that only pawns couldn't be placed on the 1st or 8th rank.

Did you seriously think I'd let something like that be possible?

Wait, can the Dragon jump diagonally?
Yes. Why couldn't it?

Ah. Dragons can move in all 8 directions, but they can't move 3 spaces up and 2 right.

I knew that much, I just wasn't aware of any paratroopers in that game.

Wouldn't en passant remove the scout at F6?

No. As I understand it, en passant basically lets you capture a pawn that moved two spaces as if it had moved one. And...ah. Yup, gimme a sec.

...Insert swear here.
My browser of choice, Chrome, has been acting up this evening. Like, it's not opening despite rebooting twice and trying to re-install Chrome. Hence, I have been using Firefox, which is barely working better. It's late, Firefox doesn't seem to like Google Drive, and I don't feel like screwing with it this late.n I'll fix it in the morning.

No, en passant allows you to capture a pawn/scout 'in passing' by moving two spaces, I think.
