GWG, if you have windows, just try the snipping tool- it comes standard and is similar to lightshot, it would seem.

Tool which allows you to instantly take cropped screenshots
As long as your computer is Vista or above, you have it
Jut hit the windows key, and search for 'Snipping Tool'

Yeah, my usual way does take a while. The snipping tool is useful when you don't have to deal with multiple screen-shots...
