Recovering a .vdi?

Virtualbox decided to fuck up my .vdi. I renamed it, tried to clone it to a different one wich wouldn't work for whatever reason, named it back and now it won't work.

Oh, and it also won't change settings ad givess an error when you try to save stetings.

E: Also, I don't really understand how Civ 4 works. I have 4 games in my steam library, and if I want to play Bts, do I just need to launch Bts or the Civ 4 one?

you would need to launch BTS, have you considered running a dual-boot?

No. A dual-boot wouldn't be very good in my situation. This laptop is basically owned by my parents, and they wouldn't approve if I set this thing to dualboot. That, and I don't have a windows XP disk. Just an .iso. I would like to know if it's possible to unfuck this thing in any way or if I need to reinstall it.

reinstall, .vdi is proprietary and is not going to play well for you if you need to fix it.
