better yet: name the item_tool only "gel" and the plant only "green", because otherwise you get green gel green gel. ^^

Or you could just have [PREFIX:NONE] on the green gel material...

Do I really need the TOOL_GEL item? can I not just make the workshop make a PLANT_ITEM as a product?

Be very specific, I'm always trying to improve the wiki's documentation on modding.

sorry, I didn't mean to be too general.

i found it was well broken up into each line of the RAWS and what each is for, and what it means, but i found a lack of examples.

In specific there weren't clear comparisons between one item and another, using the same "layout" but how the raws make them different.

A good example of what i mean would be a side by side creature RAWS comparison. Line by line showing what makes each different yet clearly shows what type of information is needed in each line and what information is optional.

As i read the wiki i thought more and more that the content of some lines were optional. The wiki is amazing in general though :)

The content of a lot of lines are optional. Note the modding guide--I annotated Mysteryguye's hydling to show what each individual line means.

Well perhaps i was just a little out of my depths when i first looked over it, its very detailed, just a little daunting lol.

I'm sure once i get my teeth into Modding it will suddenly click :)

Right, the only issue i can see right now (so far) is that my reaction wants to use any plant item, and anything made from one, while testing i just saw one of my dwarves tro to turn a wooden barrel into "Green Gel" :(

is there a "Food Plants Only" RAW tag?

So if i change

will that fix it?
