There were gonna be conspiracy theories the moment this started.  I haven't had a chance to listen to the audio yet, is it for realsies like "let's burn it down" or more like the old pull it audio from 911?

He wasn't captured, so it seems fair not to pay out according to the wording of the reward.

Makes it kind of an easy loophole to exploit, though.

"$1 billion dollars for information leading to the capture and arrest of X!"

"There he is!"

So this building was burning from propane for hours (?) and the body was completely scorched, but they found an intact plastic driver's license? Really?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Firstly, i was hoping that wouldn't happen but doubted it. Looks like he's already being romanticized. I almost laughed. Secondly, what's the name of the movie your avatars from?

They won't find more than one body inside. How many bodies are or are not in the cabin is irrelevant to what they'll find.

This is the scariest thing I've read in a long, long time.

Likely the most accurate, as well.

Kung Pow: Enter The Fist. Really excellent movie, provided you're not easily offended and that you don't demand anything resembling class from your humor.

Now back to predicting the inevitable.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Yeah, it was all over the live scanner feed, and tons of people were tuned into it.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

I guess the question is, who checked those? Given the circumstances, I'm not sure I'd trust the LAPD's forensics-or-whatever-the-correct-department-is.

Jeez, a couple of years ago I wouldn't have thought I'd ever be skeptical of the police in a situation where a guy snapped and started killing them and anyone related to some of them. And yet, here we are.

They really don't have any motivation to fabricate evidence of Dorner's death.  It would make them look better for about 3 days before he popped up shooting people again, after which it would make them look terrible.

I'd be more trusting of it if it weren't the LAPD. They are exceptionally corrupt.

But unless that corruption extends to pathological lying they probably aren't doing it in this case
