By Armok's beard! The horrors- the horrors we've experienced! The founders are dead. Most everyone is dead. We're in crisis mode- all labor has been suspended until we can deal with the wounded. None of us really knows medicine- we're all just doing what we can... the caverns echo with the sound of... of something. Out there. In the dark.
We need to get out of here- closer to the surface. But what of the necromancers?
26th Sandstone-
Rescue arrives! Immigrants! They hadn't heard of the terrible events that took place here. The extra hands may yet save us...
27th-
We're moving the injured to the upper hospital. There are chests there, for medical supplies, and there's a traction bench- which we may need. This also gets us further away from these caverns...
13th Timber-
It comes.
15th Moonstone-
Death. All around- death.

Shall I record the deaths? Not here. I haven't the ink. Ghosts wander the halls- but at least, for now, the corpses are still.
Lower whimcrafted is now sealed. I regret to say that not all of the survivors made it to upper whimcrafted. With the forgotten beast rampaging below we had no time to wait.
We had a major problem with workflow for a while. In the chaos, I didn't realize what was wrong: one of the previous overseers had all of the hatch covers on the first level of upper whimcrafted locked, and with the stair to lower whimcrafted sealed my workers couldn't move between levels. I've unlocked the hatches, and we are undertaking the monumental task of restoring upper whimcrafted to a livable state. We shall also have to find a way of securely disposing of corpses, ere the necromancers return.
