Fair enough. Hell aurochs are already expensive enough. I mean, 300 gp ?

We'll have to roleplay it though. You'll probably spend your time training animals if everyone in the party wants a mount, plus the mounts who die...

also you can get good GP out of this if you make it a job, I do believe.

Handle Animal is not a professionable skill, however it is something profitable so I'd allow weekly income checks off it.

I also didn't realize that there was a whole level delay for a new mount on cavaliers.  New house rule - two weeks of game time!

I'd still contend that a Buletee would be a better mount.  For everyone.

Ehh one week is honestly enough Girlinhat, It is how long it takes for them to get a new familiar mount anyhow and a week pretty much is a whole adventure.

I'll try and get a bulette as a mount around level 7-8 if I can. But they are desertic apex predators, so I very much doubt we get bulettes around here, nor do people sell them trained.

We'll have to move to another world location, capture one (or more) and Gillen will have to tame it.

Besides there's still the problem of artie's mount. He'll have to ride the biggest and most badass animal we can get our hands on.

Hell yeah! After I take the feat that adds my STR modifier to my Intimidation score, and after I get a badass mount, I'm gonna be rolling for Intimidation at every non-undead encounter for the first round.

Yeah. You should take the intimidation rage powers as well. I mean, terrifying howl is so hilariously badass it's nearly too much.

also bulette is visibly found in temperate hills only, so we may find one or two around there.

Get a Griffon, and get the feat Battle Jump.

If you jump 5-30 feet and onto an enemy, you can deal a charge attack for free, with the option to deal 2x damage, OR a free trip attempt.

Especially if you're gonna start flying...

Rule of thumb to remember is that Magical Beasts cannot be tamed unless they specifically say otherwise.

Which they do a lot of the time and Griffons can be tamed.

Aw, that's a killjoy...

I think most magical beasts can be negotiated with, however.

That would be for gillen. With his lance, he'll be doing ridiculous damage in no time.

Besides a griffon more is far more suited to a knight than to a barbarian, honestly.

I thought magical beasts just had +5 to handle animal checks if Int < 2 ?

besides griffons are intelligent, it's more a matter of diplomacy checks.

but it's only for 1rd/lvl and not trained :P

Now that we have a support cleric, maybe I should dump heal as a skill (I have enough healing capacities like that), get weapon and armor crafting skills, and then get craft magic weapons and armor.

The elven sorcerer can outdo you in crafting of magic weapons and armor.
By a mile.
By thousand miles.
Since you are skill starving, I wouldn't spend skill points on them, even though you have magic weapons and armor fetishes.
