Obamacare is running about as smoothly as someone's face on a red-brick wall right now.

To be fair, the federal site is having the worst problems. The State-run ones (the ones that declined to set up their own) in the liberal states are doing much better, leading to absolutely delicious irony.

The Kentucky one is doing best of all, leading to double reverse irony.

Also Obama fairly sorry for getting roughyl 17 million 'Murricans uninsured.
That's -1,650,000 insured by the ACA. Of all things, I didn't expect that to be the way it crashed. I thought the tea party had a fair chance, or some angry corp.

I will remind all of you, however, that the important part of Obamacare still hasn't actually happened yet.

That's 50k out of the 500k target three months before the target date.  And we have expected all along that people will put off enrolling to later, just like they did in Massachusetts.  As always, the WSJ is misleading to a point bordering on lying.  And people actually think they can be investors after reading the "news" published by that pack of hacks.

MSH what do you consider the important part to be?
Effective January 1st, 2014:
-Insurers are prohibited from discriminating against or charging higher rates for any individual based on pre-existing medical conditions or gender.
-Insurers are prohibited from establishing annual spending caps of dollar amounts on essential health benefits.
-Individual mandate begins.
-Medicaid expansion begins in participating states.
-Insurance exchanges and subsidies for near-poverty families begin.
-Coverage waiting periods capped at 90 days.
-Penalties for not covering full-time employees are assessed, will begin being fined in 2015.
-Excise taxes for insurance and pharmaceutical companies imposed, will gradually rise from now to 2018.
-Non-profit insurance providers given government loans and are allowed to start operating.

Essentially, all the vital sections of Obamacare are not in place. All the Republican party's bitching is over something that has not happened.

Does that mean that if you sign up now on HealthCare.gov, insurers can take into account your pre-existing conditions?

Theoretically, but there's really no point in them doing so.

Apparently. Though this is specifically referencing cooperative-style insurance providers.

Also, in polling news the vast majority of Americans support raising the minimum wage to $9, with a slightly less vast majority also supporting automatic increases to compensate for inflation. The only non-majority amongst the bunch were Republicans on the latter provision, with 46% support.

So basically, there's a large consensus in favor of it, and therefore the House Republicans will never let it be done under any circumstances.

Our minimum wage is roughly 10 dollars, but I'm a bit confused because we also have a living wage of 11 dollars, or £7.45.
