@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

*Breaking news*

Ted Cruz's agenda: repeal Obamacare

Along with sending the US into default the next opportunity that happens.

Seems like everyone here is uniformly democrat.

Typical.

Ted Cruz has already promised to refuse to pledge support for McConnell.

*maniacal giggling*
"Well, the election's over, and even we have enough decency to wait a couple of months before we start fussing over 2016. Who're we going to fight now?"

EDIT: If it's any consolation, TamerVirus, I'm only in this party out of necessity. I dislike every party line position in the GOP, and I only dislike most of the Democrat ones.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Not so! I'm a Rockefeller Republican, and a large number of Bay12ers are further to the left than your standard-issue Democrat voter. We're pretty much all united in our loathing of the modern (post-Reagan) GOP, though.

True that. I'm so far left leaning that I don't really have any candidates that represent what I want out of society.

Bah! I have transcended the false left-right dichotomy! Anarcho-monarchism one true ideology.

EDIT: More seriously, it appears the mounting republican gains in recent days weren't anomalous.

I'm one of the more conservative folks on here, I think, but I'm never really active in these threads.
I'm not the biggest fan of either party, though; While I do generally agree with the GOP on economic matters, I'm opposed to... really about everything they put out socially, however, sinc eI consider myself more of a libertarian than a real hardline conservative.

I suspect I'm much happier about the senate election results than about everyone here; the Senate can't do a thing to stop a lot of the social policies that I'm for (like legalization of gay marriage) since the tide is sweeping through the states themselves, and I'm not a fan of the general Democratic economic plan.

...and yeah, some of the GOP senators are crazies, probably more than those of the Democrats... but that's the nature of politicians. To believe that only Republicans are the crazies would be silly.

Yeah there's a few non-Democrats, they just rarely post in this thread and much fanfare is made when they do.

Anyhow, I don't care much either way for the results. I can't say I was a fan of the Democratic Senate, but most of the Republicans that won their seats were scumbags who aren't an improvement (eg that corporatist goon Tillis). On the plus side, some of the new House seats have Amash-esque winners that I can sorta stand behind, and I can watch the frothing at the mouth of hardcore Democrat supporters, so that's always nice.

The person supporting regenerating health, when asked why you can see when shot in the eye justified it as 'you put on an eyepatch'. When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

Mm, so, looks like it's time for a deluge of veto-fodder eh? Or the dems go hypocrite & start abusing the filibuster like the pubs did. And then get called out on it by similarly hypocrite pubs.

Who is this Amash fellow and why should I froth about him?
