It wouldn't help with the big issues for debate, but it would help in passing all the small bills that nobody ever really argues with... Unless things are at a state where even the smallest and clearest of issues is up for debate purely out of spite... In that case you have issues.

Eeyup. That's where things are.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I'm going to go on record as saying that probably wouldn't help at all.Congress actually has a system for working out details of things most congressmen don't care about, the committees. They had out the details of most books, and then they go for a vote. There is also procedure for handling likely unanimous legislation, where you must register a complaint yourself to force a vote.

Besides, most things they pass now are unanimous anyway, given only uncontroversial things can pass now anyway.

Rick Santorum makes a surprise appearance to commemorate Nelson Mandela's legacy...by comparing Obamacare to apartheid.

I remind you, ladies and gentlemen, that this man was almost the 2012 GOP presidential nominee...

And with any luck, he'll be the 2016 GOP presidential nominee.

Good thing here at Bay12 we can host our very own GOP primary straw poll.

Very interesting article on the cost distribution of americas healthcare system: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/12/07/republicans-have-medicaids-cost-problem-completely-wrong/

Look at the data here and consider, what if even under a pie and the sky idealized version of free markets we could cut what a typical person is spending on healthcare in costs through calvanist personal responsibility and giving up all those annoying vacinations?  That would only mean cutting costs by about $300 dollars per capita, a pittance compared to the more then $8000 we are spending.  It's all about a select few very high cost patients that we really don't talk about politically.  The democrats dont really talk about this group either but the ACA did actually have a fair number of less talked about provisions like Affordable Care Organizations that are targeted at finding new care models for these people.

The GOP is now seriously considering trying to impeach the Prez. And, immigration reform might be back from the dead.
Eh, good luck. Sounds to me like a combination of stupidity and/or "please don't primary me!". I also don't have high hopes for immigration by this Congress, but who knows?

Rick Santorum makes a surprise appearance to commemorate Nelson Mandela's legacy...by comparing Obamacare to apartheid.
Well, to be fair, Obamacare is keeping insurers "apart" from the money they'd otherwise have right now :) .
