Minecarts work. Find a fort, steal a minecart.

Though I suppose with an iron bucket, you could fill bucket with magma through the complex {I}nteractions menu......

I remember once in masterwork where i entered the dungeon and the whole dungeon was filled with gold weapons. Made me wonder where they got all the stuff. Now, if they got a whole temple out of it... Well atleast the price on gold will be lower in that universe. All cellphone makers rejoice.

Humans with magma is a terrible idea.

Anyway, serious and on-topic, I have seen this as well. It's a result of random generation, but it's very unlikely.
Makes sacrifices easy, though. You don't get naked virgins with water beading on their skin sneaking into your bedroom at night because they knew how to swim.

It's your problem if you don't use mastercrafted chains tied to a 500 lbs rock in the first place. Sacrifices have to stay sacrificied, so don't exploit cheap labor.
