"Still let get started. Names, location, building and jobs, probable some other things. Your views?" Lexis took another sip.

Well, for one, no-one should even have a scroll. There's this wonderful thing called normal lined paper. Have you heard of it, Lexis? I would assume you have. It's not like the story takes place years after the solar system that Earth lies in went and exploded. Not at all. /sarcasm] Second off, you wouldn't need to register for anything, either. The rules for setting up parties are kind of loose. You merely need to say that you'll be referred to as Venator. The most you've got to do is find a job that doesn't conflict with your morals.

Well, you don't quite know what the available jobs around here are. But it does look like you want to decide which building to use as a base. Marked on the map are five locations that would seem suitable for this purpose.

The first, far outside, to the North of Dolor (the town you're in), is an abandoned farm. There is plenty of space and a means to obtain food after a while of work. There will need to be repairs, though, as the reason for its abandonment is that it burnt down. Chances are, upon arrival, you'd have to clear out animals who got in from the holes in the fences and perhaps residents of the criminal type. It would be close to work in that area and farther away from the Southerner population.

Second is a natural cave. It's about half as far away and to the Southeast. It's somewhat small, but there's enough room to support about eight or so peoples' needs. Unfortunately, it already does. Clearing it of criminals shouldn't be too hard. There would be leftover equipment from the raid on the building as well.

Third is a clearing in the woods to the West. It's the farthest away location, and it would require the most work, as there is nothing to build off of. There probably wouldn't be any hostiles there.

Fourth is an old, decaying house in the poor part of town. Dolor, being as far South as a Demonblood could go without getting shot on sight, forces any Demonbloods to live in this section of town. You would be surrounded by people who hate this town as much as you do and nobody would think you were out of place. You would have to fix up the place a bit.

And fifth is this hotel you're already in.

A human man smelling of both alcohol and ciggarettes stumbles into the lobby. He is reasonably well dressed, in a style that looks to be a combination of human and Demonblood designs.

Name: Seicam Bellephui Drasnirn Caspher
Race: Lotus Iloial
Age: 87
Favorite Weapon: Two swords or long knives.
Previous Job: Low ranking military officer in the Northern Licedian army.
Important Possessions: Ceremonial sword, Growth Amulet, heirloom knife
Appearance: A deep, dark, green color, Seicam is a very agile member of hir species(I'm gonna go with they don't have genders, just castes), and this is reflected in hir body type. Somewhat tall, zhe isn't particularly 'muscular', but is fast enough to make up for it.

Request; if there is magic in this world, which it looks like there is, can the growth amulet be used to change hir body parts? Short term and nothing gigantic, but for instance, changing the color and hardness of hir 'skin', making knives instead of hands, spines n e back...your decision as to it's power.
