Out of the three I picked, you do know you're the most likely to be a spy, right?  And you're just trying to win Dariush and Ford's votes (which somehow WORKED).
Umm.. No cause I'm a rebel.

Toaster and LS have been riding along following whatever the fuck Toony says. Also Toony never made a clear stance on whether he thinks the scumteam could come up with a plan to guarantee at most 1 sabotage per mission. Meaning that he's trying to dissuade that its possible for multiple spies so far to have been on a team.

Its just scum subterfuge and bad luck that Tiruin picked a team with 2 spies.

I think you're getting your names mixed up.  Here's a refresher:

Look, if there's one thing I'd want you to believe me is that there was one spy in my darn team.
You're pretty sure that LS and Toaster aren't both spies then?
Yes.

Alright, both of you. At least hear me out - there was one spy on mission one. Any more than that would lead to rampant confusion.

I'm sure you know there was exactly one spy, because it was you.  There's no other way you could know for sure there was just one spy.
No, it wasn't. I'm stating such because I'm the darn leader. There's no other way you could twist that other than to try and assert your baseless point.

Maybe you're having trouble coming up with scumteams since you already know the answer.

You're up next to pick- who would you send?

I currently attribute my downvote to stupidity. Were I in my current frame of mind when I made that choice, I likely would have upvoted.

I am not exactly the most stable person.

...as for what to do now, it feels like I'm pretty much alone in reading NQT as a rebel. Hmm...

People who think NQT is a spy:
Leafsnail
Toony
Toaster
Nerjin

People who at least haven't explicity said they think NQT is a spy:
Dariush
Tiruin
zombie urist
Captain Ford (me)

...funny how this game has split almost exactly in half on most people.

Change yourself for someone who isn't a spy and this would be fine

Executive Summary of the situation, as I understand it:

LS paints the scumteam as Tiruin, zombie urist and NQT.
Toaster and Toony are pretty solidly siding with Leafsnail.

Tiruin believes LS is a spy, believes Toaster is a rebel, and has no clue beyond that.
zombie urist believes the scumteam is LS, Toaster and Toony. (Or maybe LS, Tiruin and Toony)

Dariush believes the 3 spies are LS, Toony, and one of either Toaster and Tiruin.

Nerjin believes ZU is a spy, I think. He believes Dariush and Toaster to be rebels.
NQT hasn't really said much.

And I'm on the fence between trusting my gut reads and my analytical reads. Either way, they both show NQT to be a rebel, which disagrees strongly with the LS, Toaster, Toony hegemony.

...and hey, wait, I just noticed something:
This means that the three spies must be among the following four players:
notquitethere
Toonyman
Tiruin
zombie urist
- Out of these four players, only one was on the failed first mission: Tiruin.  Only one was on the second failed mission: zombie uristAnd only one was on the third, attempted failed mission: notquitethere.
The bolded part is wrong. ToonyMan was also on my proposed team.

I can't believe it took me this long to spot that.

I can't believe it took me this long to spot that.
Neither can I considering Dariush noticed that like 5 days ago, and I acknowledged the error then.  I agreed that I had missed the possibility of Toony being scum, but that he's also really really really obviously town (especially compared to NQT), especially since he just voted against the scumblock.

@Toony: Yeah, you did, didn't you.

@Leafsnail: Gods. I had a feeling. >_<

Dammit. It's hard to keep up with so many players and possibilities.

Still, I think that list was accurate about the most recent statements everyone has given. I'm trying to figure out what team could possibly get through.

...also...Toony, you voted up for my team with NQT in it. I'm curious why you settled on him for third spy.

...and does anyone see any reason why this team wouldn't pass:
Ford
Leafsnail
Toaster
Dariush

My current scumteam is Tiruin, zombie urist and one of Toony/Nerjin/NQT in that order.

I know the following players will vote down:
Tiruin
Dariush
ZU

I'm pretty sure the following players will vote up:
Toony
Leafsnail
Me
Toaster

I'm not sure about the following players:
NQT
Nerjin

But I suspect Nerjin would upvote it, and I believe NQT could be convinced.

If you're wondering why I'm suddenly settling on something concrete, it's primarily because I've decided that it's a fallacy to think the most town-looking players are probably scum. Also, finding a flaw in Leafsnail's argument destroys the Prince's Guard comparison for me. (I know it's not new, but it is for me)

I would vote  that team down, Ford, due to the fact that Leafsnail has been on the two failing teams. While I'm not thinking he's scum it's too obvious of a possibility to ignore.

...oh wow. I missed a lot of stuff.  ???

I wonder if I can put a team together that Dariush would approve of... (this is purely hypothetical)

Dariush
Ford
Nerjin
NQT or ZU <-- Purely by virtue of requiring one of these two, it loses the votes of Toaster, Toony, Leafsnail and likely Nerjin too.

Upvotes: Dariush, Tiruin, ZU, Ford, NQT (I can't see a reason why NQT wouldn't support this team)
Downvotes: Toony, Toaster, Leafsnail, Nerjin

...actually, that's not a terrible team in my eyes. YMMV.

PPE: Nerjin
All right. What would you think of this one?

Yes, that is the team the scumteam will try to pass over the next two vote phases.

EBWOP: Uhh...to be clear, the team isn't terrible if NQT is on it. I wouldn't be so happy if ZU was on it.

PPE: And LS beat me to it.
