Dwarmin's definitely in! Okay, all we need to do is wait for TCM to finish his sheet.

TCM logged like five hours ago...and Harry is done right now...

George Gerhardt
Memories are the only thing you have now, and even those are drifting away from you. The memories of the sun shining upon the ground and the trees hanging over have faded away into grey skies and the radiation-eating fungus. Your name is George Gerhardt. You have little but the clothes on your back, and the thoughts of your family so far away. One day... You will find them again. You are currently in Hope Square, a broken down old mall that's been looted a lot. Perhaps you can find something here.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

The Dog
Many things have been lost. Many things have begun to die. Many things still hold on like a bird digging it's talons into concrete as it's broken wings desperately attempt to fly. It will eventually fall, and it's a kindness to simply crush it in your hands then let it falsely believe it can saved at all. You are the Dog. You are not an angel nor a devil. You serve nobody but yourself, and you have a goal in mind. You are walking through the old mall of Hope Square with not much equipment. The ash-covered floors and the looted shops do not present much possibilities, but if one were to look you could find something.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Kat
Your friends always said you had a natural sense of rhythm. Maybe before all this, you could have been making money, at least according to the old folks who remember. You were always quite happy to sing on your own, and when you found the guitar it was easy enough to learn. The silence of the end becomes warmer when a bit of guitar music is introduced to it. You are Kat, and are currently wandering through some old mall which the broken signage on front claimed to be "HOPE SQUARE". You never fancied yourself a scavenger but you can't feed yourself with just music...
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Jet
You lost the bow trying to get away from a horde of undead. Tripping over the rubble you dropped it, and now you don't have a weapon and you're in unfamiliar territory. Worst of all, you're itching for some painkillers. It's not much for now, but you could end up like those freaks screaming and yelling that there's bugs under their skin. You're in a mall called Hope Square. You're not sure exactly where it is, but you can maybe find a weapon... And if you're lucky, a chemist. You'd take codeine raw if it got you a hit at this point.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Lance Khan
The Crypts have been stepping up their game. They stole weapons and scrounged as many bullets as they could. Then they launched an assault on the Sons of Khan. They took out your best boys using molotov cocktails, the fire spreading rapidly through the compound. Things got really bad when the fire lit up your ammo stockpile, blasting Sons and Crypts alike with bullets. You weren't going down without a fight, and you took out three Crypts with your machete before it got stuck in one. You cut and ran, leaving the burning ruins of your fort behind. Now you're stuck in some mall called Hope Square with no supplies or weapons. This should be fun.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Chris Woods
You've established some facts. 1. Your name is Chris Woods. 2. You can't remember anything. Even the first fact was handed to you. 3. You're in some terrible post-apocalyptic future rather then the nice Buck Rogers kind. This is not a good situation. You've been wandering around in a daze in this city that consists entirely of rubble with no landmarks at all. You couldn't tell if you were in New York or Moscow. You've found yourself in a vaguely normal mall called Hope Square. Sure, the entire place is looted and covered in snow, and there's also a few corpses, but at least there's a Macdonalds. You can work with that.

((Chris woods was the zombie I killed. I took his name as a placeholder))

Macdonalds, the name sounded famillar, food, lot of food. It would be a start.

Search the Macdonalds for food mostly.

Hope Square. The Dog briefly wonders why it might have been called that, and what hope could there have been in this place. Hope for a brighter future? Hope of deliverance? Hope of salvation? It was strange being here, in the belly of the decrepit skeleton of the many hopes and dreams of the Old Ones. Their spirits were strong here, and their offspring, the keepers of the ruins, were less than accepting of a noble pilgrim's passing. They would only accept a warrior among them, and the Dog would prove himself as such or die trying.

Search for a sharp metal object - a sharp knife optimal for murder, preferably. Also, attempt to obtain a long metal stick or bar from somewhere. Finally, a whole lot of string may be useful as well.

Kat had always considered that nothing happened without a reason.

Even now...she sometimes read into things-'Hope Square, now. Earlier the previous night, she had seen a raven-a big, black bird anyway-healthy and flying free. It had barely filled her. She had seen a stone sign, too heavy to even move, ground into the dust near a ruined building that might once have been beautiful. It had said "THOU SHALT NOT KILL".

She supposed she was fortunate to even be able to read-fewer and fewer could, these days. Hope. Her mothers second name, rarely mentioned, had been Hope. She remembered birds, hanging over her crib as a very young child. She knew enough of the 'Good Book', to know what the phrase had meant. The preachers of her hometown had been the firsts to sacrifice themselves, to stand up to the bandits. Were these Prophecies? Or a deranged mind, seeking order in chaos?

Signs of something good? A cruel warnings? Or just more relics of the old people that meant nothing...she tried not to think anymore of it. Her mind wandered much lately. Perhaps the first sign of some sort of disease. God knew there was enough of them these days, and medicine as rare as clean water. Brainfire. The Rattles. Whoops. Scarlet Letters. Spongebone. Whores Blossoms. All fairly horrible, of course. But no need to dwell on it...

She kept low to the ground, her slight, grey dusted garb and demeanor making it more difficult to be seen. Her shoes-scuffed moccasins from some plastic material-made almost no noise. She would be quiet as a mouse, yes. They would not see her. Would not end her little voice, for all it was worth. Through everything, she had always survived, hadn't she? Ahh, but of course that was the only answer that made sense. When you didn't survive, you consequently did not stick around to wonder about it.

In fact, a few mice would be a good meal right now, she thought in retrospect.

Action: Scout around mall for a good scavenge spot, and any marks they may point to possible inhabitants, then enter. Try to remain unseen.

"This mall could make a decent base, I guess..."

Search through the mall for various forgotten or abandoned items, as well as a good place to live.

Jet scans her peripherals constantly, almost unblinkingly, as she creeps into the building.  She doesn't really know what she will find, but whatever it is she intends to steer clear of any strange men or mutants.  Beads of sweat beat her brow as she thinks about the possibilities.

She heads towards a sign marked 'PharmaPlus', recognizing it mostly by the logo, and goes to check the place out.

(OOC: I like detailed long posts in games like this too, but I'm super busy for the next little while so in order to fit actions in I can't be as rich in detail)

"How did I let those fuckers beat me!" Lance says as he walks into the mall. "Well they sure as hell
aren't getting away with it. I will kill every last one of them and feed there corpses to the zeds.
But first I need a weapon, preferably something loud." Look around the mall for weapons and supplies.

(I think three seperate 1s on a scavenge roll proves that this mall was probably meant to be full of booby traps, right?)

George Gerhardt
You check out some of the maintenance tunnels for things. Most of them were evacuated in a hurry, grabbing toolboxes and tools as they went, it seems. [1] As you look around, you feel your feet activate a tripwire, and a large board filled with spikes comes down toward you! [6] You get stabbed through the arm, falling down. You realize you are bleeding out rather quickly. You best get some bandages or who know what could happen.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Jet
Jet enters the PharmaPlus. It's a large pharmacy with most of the shelves clear or knocked over, but if she looks hard enough she could find something here. [2] After about ten minutes of searching the pharmacy top to bottom, you can find nothing but empty pill bottles and used syringes scattered on the floor. Looks like you'll have to find somewhere else.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Lance Khan
Fuming over your defeat, you search around for any weapons or supplies you can find, going shop by shop. [3] You find a chipped axe's handle in a survival store but the other shops bare no fruit. It looks like someone manually removed the axe's blade for some reason, ruining a perfectly good axe.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

The Dog
You search through the stores and some of the tunnels for something sharp, like a machete or a pen knife. Anything that'll make a man bleed will do for now. [6] Searching through a grocery store, you suddenly trigger a rock crushing trap! [1] You can't get out of the way in time before it smashes down on you. You scramble out before it triggers again, covered in bruises and partially crushed. That's certainly one way to wake yourself up, and you won't bet trying that again.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Kat
[2] You can't find any spots that are completely safe as you sneak around, most of too open or too empty. [6] You can't find the tracks of anyone, so that should make this mall safe enough. [3] She hears someone coming near, and hides behind the counter in a shop, looking through a crack. A man in a patchwork coat with a cleaver looks around, then looks at the counter. He raises an eyebrow then takes a few steps forward.
Spoiler: Inventory & Health (click to show/hide)

Chris Woods
You search the Macdonalds. Most of the food is completely rotten, lying in the same place for years on end after being hastily abandoned half-eaten. The smell is pretty rank too but you can deal with it. [1] As you search, you trigger a falling trap! [6] You can't get out of the way in time and end up landing on your feet, which hurts like hell. You manage to climb out of the trap with a few bruises and scars to mark what happened. Dammit, who booby traps a restaurant?

Kat generally knew that most people would kill you as soon as look at you, these days-or worse. Of course, she knew the other man was thinking the same thing.

Best to run. If he chased her, then she would know what he wanted. If not, they both went on their ways. Right?

On the other hand...

Action: Try to remain hidden.

If he gets close, pop up from cover carefully, and try to communicate, to gauge his intentions. Flee at the first sign of hostility.

Traps. Work of the Dark Children, no doubt. In here they have labored intensely to create the welcome they believe their guests to require. The Dark Children were such strange people. What were they hoping to accomplish? To kill all that lives? To further their pitiful, meaningless existences? A life without proper goals was such a waste, the Dog thinks.

Look for someone helpful in the mall. Failing that, find painkillers.

((It occurs to me that having two ones instead of a one and a six is going to be terribly irritating soon enough, both in combat and in scavenging.))

(I was of the opinion that "did so good it went bad" was kinda hard to put in an RTD since it either implies the character's an idiot or it was a spectacular coincidence. Maybe I should try the old "good with the bad" sixes instead?)

((I do believe "good with the bad" would be a bit better, yes. Like, you dodge a trap, but hurt yourself a bit in the process, though only by one point or so. And if you look for an object, you find it, but it's bait for a trap. Or you punch someone really hard, but also manage to hurt your hand. That kind of thing.))
