OK, I have to reload the save.
There was a bit of a problem regarding flashfreezing, a ballistae, and a barrel of dwarven ale. Gonna fix it up.

try again in like 2 min, then it will work.

Is there a way to easily mobilize a large amount of troops?
selecting each is really tedious.

Not yet.  Tom wants it to be semi-tedious so you can't spam huge armies and to force micro-management.  But he does pla on relieving part of the tedium. Once people start having nicer soldiers than peasants it shouldn't be as bad since you won't have as many though.

Is "dirt road" the best kind of road you can achieve ? Or is there better ones ?

I'll probably be able to begin to recruit spearmen tomorrow.

You can get paved roads and there is something after that.  Do you haves spears for those spearmen, yet? You'll need to get blacksmith set up first.  Where are you set up by the way?

@ank,
Nice!  If I might ask, how'd you make the macro.  I really don't have any experience with that.

I used my mouse software from logitech.

Just get any macro program and record: down down tab tab tab.

The turn changed, but none of my characters moved, how come?

The turn hasn't fully run yet, they take a few minutes actually.

Unless Tom broke something.

Thanks for the info on road. I might let it as dirt, it's not really that useful for now. My blacksmith should finish 1 day before the training ground, so it should be good.
And, I'm here, from Cobarick to Tajenant (in the south), with a mountain village Thyberla (which supplies my metal for everything).

Still no movement, and the turn is an hour old...

I have sent my son to raise a mighty peasant army from all the scrubland villages.

I'm curious to see how stronger are advanced soldiers, I might do a test on that independant town nearby which has plenty peasants. Though that would cost me a lot of men  :-\

Make a bug report on the forum.  That way Tom can fix it as soon as possible.
