You have done maybe an hour or more of an network game, but I think you should still be able to transfer your PBEM to a TCP/IP game, although I dunno if you can transfer TCP/IP to PBEM but it should be possible.

Just a suggestion if you think there is maybe 1 hour where you guys will be free to play you could probably double the turns you have done.

This is true. I've attempted one of these. It took eight hours for everything to work, then we got through 20 turns before the host crashed.
