"People of Unity Capital, I know this has been a challenging, but exciting year for you! Sightings of strange alien masses on the horizon, a native species we have never seen before, have worried many of you, and we understand! The Lord will put many trials before us, but I urge you - we do not yet understand the meaning of this strange mass we found dwelling in the Unity, and we have no evidence it is hostile. If it is, we shall overcome it just as we have overcome the other challenges of planet. If it is not, perhaps we will learn a little bit more about this place we call home.
I make this speech here today not to talk of possible challenges, though, but to bring amazing news! A Rover team today discovered that the rumours are true! There ARE other survivors of our ship, out and wandering the surface of Planet! We do not yet know if this Patrol is a small group of survivors having survived until now by scavenging Planets wilderness, or if they are organized by a larger group of survivors as ours are. If it is the first, we will extend the offer to join us, as we did the teams we found in stasis in the capsules we've uncovered. If it is the second, we will open up dialogue immediately, and discover the extent to which our brethren have succeeded here. I know many of you will be eager to try and contact family you've been separated from, and I promise I will do what I can to quell your worries. Thank you, and we will pass along the news as we learn more." With that, the broadcast flickered our, and Kiera turned, as another camera flickered.
"Have you made contact with them, yet, Commander?" She asked.
A face, tired and chapped from roving the wilds for years, appeared on the screen. "Yes, ma'am. We've taken position in a flanking position and sent someone in. They claim to be from a group calling themselves the University. I'll patch you through now, Sister, if you wish."
She nodded. "Do it."
((10ebbor10, we need to talk.
