On the world of Desari, the native inhabitants are celebrating a 1000 year long era of peace and harmony. This is kind of a lie though, since the 1000 year celebration of peace is nothing but a silly explanation for wanting to party. Truth to be told, the Desarians have never felt the grace of war, only having had to take up arms against the wild beasts or band together to repair after natural disasters. These peaceful creatures have never experienced hatred towards each other and their own kind, rather, they worked together whenever it was needed, and has been seen as some of the most peaceful creatures in the world of Daros.



If that wasn't enough, their world is rich in minerals and metals, ripe with delicious fruit and flora, brimming with mana and basically a Cornucopia of the world of daros. A divine green marble, floating slowly through the universe. The space faring races have already established nummerous trade routes with Desari, trading exotic goods for just a sample of the divine world. Not a big surprise that the world is considered an "Energy World".

Though all of this sounds too good to be true, the world has never been fought over, never been tried to be destroyed, tossed into the void, turned into bananas or any of the other insane things that seem to happen in the world of Daros.



That is... Until the Four Lords of Hatred descended upon the world...

Hokay. So the Daros Adventuring Party Was a giant mistake, as I clearly did not plan enough out for it for me to keep having an interest in it. This time though, we will play something a little more interesting than just a band of heroes wanting to kill a necromancer who also uses modern weaponry! Yes, We are seeking four Lords of Hatred, four players to play the most CRUEL, EVIL, SCUM OF THE WORLD, because you have just gotten the oppertunity, to plunder a world of riches and menacingly strangle the happiness out of a people who never experienced hardship on a larger scale!

Yes, it is time to play villains!!

For now, we only need to fill out four character sheets, and I will write the intro when I make the in-game topic. First off though, some rules:

Rules of engagement:

• Be friendly to your co-players. Also have fun. It's just a game. No need to go insane because someone decides to be a little stuck up about their predicament.
• All dicerolls and the system itself will be handled by me, obviously, to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
• Not everyone needs to post for me to post and thus advance the story. Often the story will go on when >50% of the players has posted. Smaller actions can be managed between story continuation posts.
• If you need to "powerplay" or otherwise make another player's character do something for either a story moment, or even in combat, converse it with the other player through PM, and get everything sorted before starting the "powerplay".
• This wont update daily, at best once in a while. I am pretty depressive right now, and text is easy enough for me to handle without me scratching my arms into blood.
• Just a reminder, have fun.
• More rules might be added here later on.

Yes, it's precisely the same rules from the DAP thread, but that only makes sense since all of it still applies.

Before you make your characters, take a gander at the Daros Database to get a feel for the world. There is a lot of info in it, even though it isn't even close to finished. Still though, give it a good lookin'.

Player Name: Your Username on this forum.
Character Name: Name of the character you enter.
Race: What race is this character. If you choose a race of your own creation, detail the race. If you choose a race from an already established world like for example super mario bros or final fantasy, a link to a page about those races would be nice. Else describe it. If you make an original race, you can use the trait legend in the Darosian Race profiles google document to help you (and us) visualize the character.
Traits: All the core data (how tall, how heavy, eye color, hair color, general information) goes in here.
Variations: You character probably isn’t a perfect copy of your race. Does it have any damages, scars, tattoos, piercings, missing limbs, special eyecolors, anything of that sort that varies it from the basic race, goes here. Stuff like allergies and chronic disorders/diseases also goes here.
Class: What class does your adventurer have? Warrior? Librarian? Mage? Cook? Spaghettimancer?
Spark: What element of magick does this character have, or Is it a dud, with no element? Remember, everyone has an element (unless they are a dud), and the element can be anything. Fire? Sure. Pants? Sure. The concept of falling? Sure!
Affinity: This is a percent, like 50%. It determines how in tune you are with your spark. If you choose to be over 70%, your body starts being made out of the spark, for example, if you have fire as a spark, at 71%, that much of your body will literally be made out of fire.

Bio: Write a description of who the character is, how it acts and what it likes. Simply detail the character in general here.
Heritage: Write what the character did to get to become part of the Four Lords of Hatred. Also what’s the background, does it come from a rich family? Slavers? Is it running from something? All goes here!
Fears: What does the character fear, if anything?
Hates: What does the character hate, if anything?
Likes: What does the character like, if anything?

Abilities: Write what sorts of abilities this Lord of Hatred has. I will tune it so it functions in the system.

Race: Seerus Haze (Heavily mutated former human)
Traits: Approx. 7.5 ft/2.2 m tall, 300 lbs, Yellow eyes, no hair, charred skin
Variations: A sadistic individual whose constant experiments have left him as something that is no longer human. He has developed a resistance to any form of damage which has left him with a dull grey-white skin tone, and nearly completely covered in scars and chemical burns. His skin texture now resembles something more reptilian and leathery than anything else. He hides this underneath an extensive mummy-like wrapping, though. Seerus has various wires and piping coming in and going out of his body at assorted spots, suggesting that he has replaced many of his own internal organs at least once. A large visible tube comes out from underneath his ribcage and goes over his shoulder, connecting to the back of his head. Normally, Seerus is surprisingly lanky and thin, which is an appearance contrary to the reality of his steel-like skin. If Seerus ingests a potent chemical cocktail of his own design, (which he keeps on hand at all times) he bulks up considerably and becomes a defensive juggernaut, capable of withstanding absurd amounts of damage. Seerus also has many canisters of chemicals embedded into his body at various places, for offensive and personal usage. His face is wrapped up like the rest of his body, with one eye completely covered, and sharp yellowed teeth. A breathing mask connected to chemical vats on his back and side sits loosely around his neck. Seerus normally wears a vest and bandolier of noxious chemicals, but occasionally wears a tattered and burned open lab coat.

Amazingly, he still has all his fingers.

backstory
Bio: As mentioned before, Seerus is a complete sadist who only has a slight grasp of the concept of "ethics." As such, he views everything as a potential experiment and everyone as acceptable losses. He constantly experiments on himself as well, leading to his current form. He would have died long ago if he did not have such a strong connection to Life Magick. However, Seerus never tortures needlessly, making sure to extract every ounce of data from pain, whether it's his, or someone else's. He just has a constant need to experiment. Seerus is also quite brilliant, diligently mastering fields of study that interest him, such as medicine, chemistry, and poisons. Oh how he loves poisons.

The downside of Seerus's personality is that he has tunnel-vision and all but ignores things he has no interest in or are not useful to him. He can be quite careless, but that only developed after Seerus's body became nigh-invulnerable. Seerus holds an unshakable enthusiasm for what he calls "his craft."

Heritage: Seerus learned quickly that his love for research needed money. However, he also learned that selling his chemical concoctions was also very profitable. Haze Corp. is a leading producer of products ranging from makeup and beauty supplies to advanced medical technology to exercise equipment (He doesn't know how that one happened either.) Now he seeks for new populations to perform his... "tests" on.
Fears: Having his brain removed (Never again)

Having a great knowledge of arteries and nerves can make one very dangerous to the common people.

Utilizing the special pumps and vents built into his arms, Seerus sprays his foes with his own deadly concoctions.

He sunk two ships with a whirlpool. He exploded cats and boiled guards alive. He burned down the last elven forest. He murdered the leader of their only allies. He raised a legion of the undead and killed angel surrogates. He harmed his friends and hurt his own self from an alternate reality.

And he never did it on purpose.  At the beginning, at least.

Heritage: He comes from a distant world. He managed to, on the brink of death, hang the world in limbo and send himself through the plane of life and to here. He was picked up shortly afterwards due to reports of mass horror.
Fears: He is the one who others fear. He can get kinda skittish around spiders.
Hates: He is furious about the limits on magic this universe has placed upon him.
Likes: Rats, cats, mutating cute things, large amounts of fire and the destruction of his foes.

When hitting a certain random number with any of his spells, the Necronomicon can be summoned forth from the aethers of reality. From the hand still gripping it, various chaos spells will fly as it summons George and 1d6 Chaos Skeletons. George and the skeletons will then decay and return to the book in 1d6 turns, and the book will toss itself back into the void.

Race: Orcas Dullivan is a Judgement Elemental. Judgement Elementals embody the magick element of Judgement perfectly, but given how esoteric and uncommon it is compared to the more basic elements (Fire, Light, even Pants), they're not often seen. Judgement Elementals resemble "living armor" from the lore of many cultures. Often mistaken for Golems, they are usually made up of a large collection of armor held together in the shape of a humanoid by an almost invisible force.

Judgement Elementals rarely participate in adventure groups unless they feel there is a large-scale "imbalance" in a world that needs to be righted. Despite their heavy affinity with a magick element, they do not often actively cast "magick" spells, instead naturally being stronger depending on the magnitude of the wrongdoing they're trying to right. They can speak, but are not much for conversation.

Basic/Note Data/Traits: Orcas Dullivan is taller than an average Human at 7' high. His exterior makeup looks like it would make him very heavy, but the core holding him together lightens the load. His armor set is a rusted brown with white rims. His helmet is decorated with little wings at the top, and on his chestplate is engraved the words "Find Me." A small pair of angry white eyes peek through the shadow cast by his helmet.
Class: Anti-paladin. Many Judgement Elementals show up unexpectedly to defend the weak and needy with swift and decisive force, but Orcas sees such acts as self-indulgent and trivial. He instead travels from world to world, raining desolation upon any civilization he sees as "sinful."

As a class, Anti-paladins are primarily melee focused. Their magick abilities are powerful self-buffing spells used only when their motives are in danger of being unfulfilled. Anti-paladins have a divine connection to the God of Cruelty and call upon this being when in great need.

Spark: Judgement
Affinity: 99%

Backstory
Bio: Orcas is hard to find. When not on one of his tirades, he often hides in a pocket dimension where the treasure pillaged from his conquests is locked away. He refuses to reveal his origins because he is not fully aware of them himself. As far as he knows, he was born in a powerful conglomeration of natural Judgement Magick. The small engraving on his chestplate in particular bothers him.
Fears: Orcas is not afflicted with the emotion of "fear" very often, but he most fears losing control of his mission and himself. He fears what he might become if he forgets his purpose as a Judgement Elemental.
Hates: Orcas DETESTS those who take advantage of the weak, the helpless and the have-nots. Even if he is caught amidst a great battle against one of his "sinful" targets, he will always take the time to make sure those he views as innocent are safe.
Likes: Although it's unbecoming for his kind, he takes great pleasure in cruelty and torture - especially against those who have wronged him personally. He adores gaining power.

Stats
Abilities: Orcas can empower his offensive or defensive abilities at the cost of Mana and occasionally "call" retribution from the God of Cruelty at an even greater cost.

Kernel of Agony: Cruelty Form.

When faced with grave danger, A part of Orcas can be offered to the god of Cruelty, who then bestows him with force unimaginable. Orcas has 5 pieces of self. If they are all used within the confines of a week, Orcas will perish after the Cruelty Form dissolves. The form lasts for 5 turns, and if the foes are killed before the turns are up, it will turn on it's friends.

Traits: Isis is about five feet ten inches and one hundred forty pounds, with an hourglass build. Her eye color is an angry red and her hair is long, black, and worn loose.
Variations: Unlike many demons, Isis can pass for human in terms of skin tone and having hair and the usual bodyparts of a human female... but she still does have the large bat wings of a demon.
Class: Dark Temptress
Spark: Hellfire
Affinity: 50%

Backstory
Bio: An obsessive demoness who tends to fixate on one object or person and then will stop at nothing until she has it... then, of course, as soon as she has it, she generally loses interest in it once it's no longer useful to her. She doesn't take many risks, preferring to do things cautiously and manipulate others into achieving her goals for her. Her evil is the evil of innocence; it's in her nature to be selfish, to use and destroy, and she even believes half the time that what she's doing is for her victim's own good. She's extremely vain and constantly worrying over her looks.
Heritage: Isis was originally 'born' as a succubus, and it was mere chance that she became something greater. While making her nightly rounds, she came across what she thought of as merely a pretty stone in a man's chambers. This stone reacted with her infernal nature and brought about self-awareness and intelligence. With this advantage over her brethren, she put into place several plans that over the years saw her escape from her 'home' and into the world of Daros to do as she pleased. She's most known for causing a civil war in the western lands that brought about the destruction of two large city-states - for the sole purpose of wanting to watch it happen.
Fears: She's too arrogant to fear much of anything, although she really should.
Hates: She hates law and order and will go out of her way to destabilize areas.
Likes: She likes music, particularly flute music, and has a soft spot for easily-corruptible heroes.

Stats
Abilities: Typical of a demon, Isis has the ability to summon powerful flames and 'fly' - although it's much more like gliding by using the flames she summons to create thermal lift.

Magick - Hellfire - Ranged (Mid) - Hellspark
MP Cost: 1. | Tiny spark of fire is tossed. 1d6 damage, 20% chance to ignite foe to 1d6 damage for 1d10 turns.
A flame more wicked has yet to be seen, than the flames from the concept of hell.

Skill - Dark Temptress - Melee - Cursed Kiss
MP Cost: 2. | If it works, target will be filled with fear for 1d10 turns.
Heehee~ You will love to fear me.

Magick - Hellfire - Melee - Ravenous tattoo
MP Cost: 5 | Target is laced with a volatile tattoo, which will slowly devour it's flesh until removed. 1d10 damage per turn.
Sometimes a mark of love does nothing but reap despair.

She covers the room in the flame, dealing 1d20 damage to everyone in it, along with 50% chance of igniting the targets, for 1d10 damage per turn for 3 turns.

Variations: A sadistic individual whose constant experiments have left him as something that is no longer human. He has developed a resistance to any form of damage which has left him with a dull grey-white skin tone, and nearly completely covered in scars and chemical burns. His skin texture now resembles something more reptilian and leathery than anything else. He hides this underneath an extensive mummy-like wrapping, though. Seerus has various wires and piping coming in and going out of his body at assorted spots, suggesting that he has replaced many of his own internal organs at least once. A large visible tube comes out from underneath his ribcage and goes over his shoulder, connecting to the back of his head. Normally, Seerus is surprisingly lanky and thin, which is an appearance contrary to the reality of his steel-like skin. If Seerus ingests a potent chemical cocktail of his own design, (which he keeps on hand at all times) he bulks up considerably and becomes a defensive juggernaut, capable of withstanding absurd amounts of damage. Seerus also has many canisters of chemicals embedded into his body at various places, for offensive and personal usage. His face is wrapped up like the rest of his body, with one eye completely covered, and sharp yellowed teeth. A breathing mask connected to chemical vats on his back and side sits loosely around his neck. Seerus normally wears a vest and bandolier of noxious chemicals, but occasionally wears a tattered and burned open lab coat.

Amazingly, he still has all his fingers.

Bio: As mentioned before, Seerus is a complete sadist who only has a slight grasp of the concept of "ethics." As such, he views everything as a potential experiment and everyone as acceptable losses. He constantly experiments on himself as well, leading to his current form. He would have died long ago if he did not have such a strong connection to Life Magick. However, Seerus never tortures needlessly, making sure to extract every ounce of data from pain, whether it's his, or someone else's. He just has a constant need to experiment. Seerus is also quite brilliant, diligently mastering fields of study that interest him, such as medicine, chemistry, and poisons. Oh how he loves poisons.

The downside of Seerus's personality is that he has tunnel-vision and all but ignores things he has no interest in or are not useful to him. He can be quite careless, but that only developed after Seerus's body became nigh-invulnerable. Seerus holds an unshakable enthusiasm for what he calls "his craft."

Heritage: Seerus learned quickly that his love for research needed money. However, he also learned that selling his chemical concoctions was also very profitable. Haze Corp. is a leading producer of products ranging from makeup and beauty supplies to advanced medical technology to exercise equipment (He doesn't know how that one happened either.) Now he seeks for new populations to perform his... "tests" on.

He raised a legion of the undead and killed angel surrogates. He harmed his friends and hurt his own self from an alternate reality.

And he never did it on purpose.  At the beginning, at least.

Heritage: He comes from a distant world. He managed to, on the brink of death, hang the world in limbo and send himself through the plane of life and to here. He was picked up shortly afterwards due to reports of mass horror.
Fears: He is the one who others fear. He can get kinda skittish around spiders.
Hates: He is furious about the limits on magic this universe has placed upon him.
Likes: Rats, cats, mutating cute things, large amounts of fire and the destruction of his foes.

Race: Orcas Dullivan is a Judgement Elemental. Judgement Elementals embody the magick element of Judgement perfectly, but given how esoteric and uncommon it is compared to the more basic elements (Fire, Light, even Pants), they're not often seen. Judgement Elementals resemble "living armor" from the lore of many cultures. Often mistaken for Golems, they are usually made up of a large collection of armor held together in the shape of a humanoid by an almost invisible force.

Judgement Elementals rarely participate in adventure groups unless they feel there is a large-scale "imbalance" in a world that needs to be righted. Despite their heavy affinity with a magick element, they do not often actively cast "magick" spells, instead naturally being stronger depending on the magnitude of the wrongdoing they're trying to right. They can speak, but are not much for conversation.

Basic/Note Data/Traits: Orcas Dullivan is taller than an average Human at 7' high. His exterior makeup looks like it would make him very heavy, but the core holding him together lightens the load. His armor set is a rusted brown with white rims. His helmet is decorated with little wings at the top, and on his chestplate is engraved the words "Find Me." A small pair of angry white eyes peek through the shadow cast by his helmet.
Class: Anti-paladin. Many Judgement Elementals show up unexpectedly to defend the weak and needy with swift and decisive force, but Orcas sees such acts as self-indulgent and trivial. He instead travels from world to world, raining desolation upon any civilization he sees as "sinful."

As a class, Anti-paladins are primarily melee focused. Their magick abilities are powerful self-buffing spells used only when their motives are in danger of being unfulfilled. Anti-paladins have a divine connection to the God of Cruelty and call upon this being when in great need.

Backstory
Bio: Orcas is hard to find. When not on one of his tirades, he often hides in a pocket dimension where the treasure pillaged from his conquests is locked away. He refuses to reveal his origins because he is not fully aware of them himself. As far as he knows, he was born in a powerful conglomeration of natural Judgement Magick. The small engraving on his chestplate in particular bothers him.
Fears: Orcas is not afflicted with the emotion of "fear" very often, but he most fears losing control of his mission and himself. He fears what he might become if he forgets his purpose as a Judgement Elemental.
Hates: Orcas DETESTS those who take advantage of the weak, the helpless and the have-nots. Even if he is caught amidst a great battle against one of his "sinful" targets, he will always take the time to make sure those he views as innocent are safe.
Likes: Although it's unbecoming for his kind, he takes great pleasure in cruelty and torture - especially against those who have wronged him personally. He adores gaining power.

Abilities: Orcas can empower his offensive or defensive abilities at the cost of Mana and occasionally "call" retribution from the God of Cruelty at an even greater cost.

Kernel of Agony: "Cruelty Form." When highly damaged and faced up against unimaginable opposition, Orcas can give up a part of his soul to the God of Cruelty, activating his Cruelty Form. He becomes an avatar of the God of Cruelty for a short time. After he turns back, his core is weakened for a while, rendering him (for the most part) incapable of fighting.

Bio: An obsessive demoness who tends to fixate on one object or person and then will stop at nothing until she has it... then, of course, as soon as she has it, she generally loses interest in it once it's no longer useful to her. She doesn't take many risks, preferring to do things cautiously and manipulate others into achieving her goals for her. Her evil is the evil of innocence; it's in her nature to be selfish, to use and destroy, and she even believes half the time that what she's doing is for her victim's own good. She's extremely vain and constantly worrying over her looks.
Heritage: Isis was originally 'born' as a succubus, and it was mere chance that she became something greater. While making her nightly rounds, she came across what she thought of as merely a pretty stone in a man's chambers. This stone reacted with her infernal nature and brought about self-awareness and intelligence. With this advantage over her brethren, she put into place several plans that over the years saw her escape from her 'home' and into the world of Daros to do as she pleased. She's most known for causing a civil war in the western lands that brought about the destruction of two large city-states - for the sole purpose of wanting to watch it happen.
Fears: She's too arrogant to fear much of anything, although she really should.
Hates: She hates law and order and will go out of her way to destabilize areas.
Likes: She likes music, particularly flute music, and has a soft spot for easily-corruptible heroes.

Archmage Coolguy was the coolest guy in the kingdom's Royal Army. But then, he learned of a secret. Magic is 50% cooler than conventional weapons. He studied for 50 years to learn magic, so he could be even cooler than he already was.
He came from a typical common family, but soon joined the army in a quest to show everyone and become the best. He became obsessed with gaining power, and chose to leave the kingdom rather than suffer persecution for his dark magics.
He likes those who present a challenge of some sort to him, often recruiting them for his personal lieutenants, known as The Interesting Ones. He also likes black opal for some reason.
He detests the stupid and anything representing mortality or weakness.
He fears his one weakness: ironwood +2 punching daggers of ice.

Abilities: Lord Coolguy is not a particularly good fighter, but he has access to a copious amount of magic. He also has several Psionic powers based on his pure aura of awesome, such as a mind control ray.
