Latest Version: DownloadSee the included zip for installation instructions. The relevant file for this plugin is resume.plug.dll.
Note: This was built against the latest DFHack release (0.34.11 r2), so will not work in earlier versions. The version in the Lazy Newbie Pack is outdated. This is a simple plugin that helps you resume those construction jobs that inevitably get suspended as units get in the way or dwarves stand in the wrong place, etc. When enabled, it displays a colour coded overlay marking out suspended buildings and constructions. This overlay is only active when the game is paused and you are not in any game menu (such as query or build). To enable it, type "resume show" in the dfhack console. There is also a convenience command to resume all suspended constructions and buildings: "resume all". This saves you from having to go through the jobs screen to find and resume them one by one.
The screenshot shows a designated floor. Yellow crosses indicate suspended constructions. Red indicates the constructions that were already resumed by a "resume all" command this session, but are suspended again. Those indicate a game bug where constructions sometimes get stuck and need to be removed and re-added manually.
Green crosses will only be seen if you use my
Building Plan Plugin. They indicate furniture that's been designated (planned) but items are not yet available. So this plugin also provides an easy way of seeing what planned buildings are waiting for items to be available (when items become available the building will automatically be resumed and no longer be marked in this overlay).
Here's the help from the plugin command line:
