I thought stats adjusted by nature were invisible and added / subtracted AFTER everything else? 

A good / worrying start, I would advise EV training into some attack, but that's going to be tough with all the randomness ^^

(Also, I believe Ice Punch is physical, Tomatowalrus, but yes, Thunder and Fire Punch aren't. It still gives him good type coverage imo ^^)

Nope. Changes due to nature are factored in after everything but abilities, and are entirely visible if you know what you're looking for.

Before DPP, the interface didn't point out the effects of a nature. (Other than certain numbers changing, of course.) Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, and Fire Punch are all special-attack based, as their types indicate.

If this Nuzlocke is following rules similar to the ones I use for mine, then does that mean that your SOL on the Pokemon on the routes before you get Pokeballs?
Those are the rules I usually go by, but I understand that the rules aren't exactly set in stone.

Not this time. Champ is weak enough that I really need some backup right away.

On one of my "practice runs", I ran into Registeel on Route 101. It used Explosion and killed me instantly, which would basically have been a game-ender before I even made it to Oldale. I also ran into Kyogre once, which one-shot my Diglett with Water Pulse. It's a far more dangerous world than it was before 

I had to do quite a bit of checking before starting this. A surprising number of Pokemon are simply incapable of defeating that first Zigzagoon, and I'm not just talking about Magikarp! For example, in one run one of the starters was Lickitongue. I figured that'd make for an interesting LP, until I realized that his only attack was Lick and that Lick, being a ghost-type attack, was incapable of causing damage to normal-types like Zigzagoon!

I assume so, considering how I found Omanyte wandering around on land. But I've never gotten far enough with this mod to know for sure.

What I'm really interested to know is if the Old Rod will still just catch Magikarp, or if I can find completely different stuff.
