As happy as I am with how this looks so far, I already work methodically as it is... and I'm afraid I bit off more than I can chew with this art-style. The amount of time it's taking me to finish designing scenes throughout the city alone is daunting by itself, and that's not even considering characters and poses, etc. This is my first time running one of these things, and I'm still figuring out what I need to do, and what works.

Three guesses as to why my suggestion game art got simpler each game instead of more complicated.

Nice doodles, though. Take all the time you need to figure it out.

No worries, man.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad to see the awesome spritework go, but stuff that awesome must take quite a bit of work. :P

I'd rather see a low quality update than no update at all, and the sample artwork you've shown is awesome in its own way, so there's no worries.

>You're done here. Return to the shore.
Swim to the man in a timely manner.

Your work complete, you swim quickly upward, looking forward to a nice big breath of air and a reward for a job well-done.

The water's cool, and you wouldn't mind staying out of the heat for a bit yet, but you probably shouldn't linger any more than you...

Eugh... not only is this octopus keeping you from getting to the surface, tentacle-face is among the grossest things you've ever experienced. The whole thing's got you in a fighting mood. The octopus isn't restraining you, so you use the opportunity to take a few swings at it with your free arm.

> UNARMED ATTACK: 18 (16+2) vs. DODGE: 14
Red Octopus suffers 4 (2+2) Nonlethal Damage!

The slippery sucker is keeping its head out of your arm's reach, but you manage to land a few solid hits on its tentacles. Either having satisfied its curiosity, or deciding you were more trouble than it was worth, the octopus loosens its grip on you, and makes its way back toward the rocks.

And good riddance.
