Concentrate on each aura, starting with the one in the center chest, then one on the ceiling, then one of the statues, then the other statues, then the ceilings. Detect Magic lets you determine school and strength with concentration, correct?

No, with a spellcraft check, and I already assumed you would concentrate on the auras so that's why  my post was oddly specific

Allright, there is a very strong, almost overwhelming aura on the chest, a moderate aura on the far side on the ceiling, a strong aura on all the statues, and moderate strength auras scattered all around the ceiling near the walls(you guess from the crystals)

Well, simply landing next to the chest hasn't caused anything to happen. Looks like whatever it is is on the chest itself

Well, GWG needs to since he was the one to use detect magic(unless he doesn't have it). If you guys wanna also detect magic, you'll need to use it now

As the paladin passes the first set of statues, he steps on a hidden tripwire and stream of acid comes out of their mouths and collides in the center on him!

Rem you took 17 acid damage, roll reflex for half damage
