Umm, you guys set up a crude rope bridge remember? (Little more than a rope stretched across with a couple ither ropes to hold into for balance). I ruled a setup like that was a DC 10 to cross without issue

So yeah, in case my post in the other thread doesn't make it obvious, I attempt to make the pit trap safe to walk over.

The DMG, I think, says that pit traps can't be disabled like that with Disable Device. Doing so just ruins the covering of the hole, in this case the trap door.
I certainly don't remember smashing the trapdoor.

I suggest leaving the pit trap there. We can get over it pretty easily, but not everyone will be able to. Say, people chasing us.

Either way, just to get on with stuff, I do a regular search (taking twenty takes too much time considering others are better at it) across the room.

Unfortunately, magical contracts don't tend to be all that flexible . However, we'll deal with this when we come to that issue. Meanwhile, you'll have to either say something to the rest of your party or come up with some excuse or something, since they'll likely have seen you find that niche(everyone roll spot just to be sure)
