Alright then. After a while of looking around and consulting with the shopkeeper, I pick some Gloves of Dexterity +2 (4k), a Bag of Holding I(2,5k), a Brooch of Stability (immediately stable if HP are less than 0, 1k)) and a Chronocharm of the Horizon Walker (can move for 1/2 speed as a swift action 1/day, 0,5k) for a collective worth of 8k gold. With interest, that's 8.4k gold.

Is that okay?

So are we using the same logic that makes a peasant railgun? Because I think talking more than a few sentences isn't a free action.

If by logic you mean tongue-in-cheek interpretations of the RAWs, yes. Really I just don't want to bother coming up with dialogue to a single merchant who I am never going to see again later. Maybe once if I survive this. Expecially if it means waiting for the DM to do the NPC's part of the talking.

..I should have specified he's only willing to sell on credit one item, so you're gonna need to make a choice

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Sure. If we're skipping to the next day, I'm going to change my spell selection and stuff then. Also, switching to Wild Focus.

That's fine

OK then, after doing some preparations for the dangers ahead, you've all turned in for the night, and it is now morning. After breakfast, you all meet up with Josen at the town gates. "Right fine day to start and adventure, eh? If you'll follow me to the ruins, I'll show you where the entrance is."

(Time Passes)

After an hour of travelling to the north, you all spot the blackened ruins of the tower. Josen leads you to the south side of the ruins, where it seems perfectly normal(no hole in sight)....until he pulls out a strange charm and speaks a few odd words. The ground in front of you just vanishes and  a dark hole appears! "There ye go, like I promised. Now, I expect great things from you lot, don't disappoint me!" He waves cheerfully and walks off.

Note that the hole that just appeared is about 10ft deep and 15ft across, and there's a smooth, almost chiseled floor at the bottom-where it isn't covered by rubble from the cave in of course.

Oh, we're skipping ahead to the dungeon already? That was disappointingly uneventful. At least by this point I have my squirrel with me, now.

Druce gives everyone endure exposure for the day, making them all immune to his breath weapon.  He also hit himself with voidsense for blindsight 30ft and draconic knowledge.

Any knowledge checks or spellcraft to figure out what the item was or the spell used by it?

Regardless, I fail the roll.

Upon reaching the hole, Druce turns himself invisible and heads in first, moving as stealthly as possible

(I plan on staying in front as much as possible)

Sir John lowers himself into the hole until dangling by his hands from the edge, then simply drops the foot or so to the ground. He draws his warhammer, his shield already strapped to his right arm, and proceeds to scan the room.

"Hey, if you're going ahead, take Cerunya with you. You can tell her to give us a warning if you find something."

I gesture my squirrel to follow the gnome and climb down too.
