I'm going to need to make an area for military and trade assets, aren't I. New rule! Post all buildings and upgrades you have, that includes if you have a militia and amount of ships. Also post treasury, my major nemisis in this game. Just as a repeat, everyone has one medium ship, an indiaman. Proelia is finally following history and making itself a merchant navy. Also, it takes one turn to build things from now on. I'll do your post for you in this update, but it will make thing much easier for me. I'm also abolishing the money system as I don't like doing many calculations, and most of the turns are spent doing calculations. Colony: Proelia

lumber stockpile made. If we have enough money left over, build ships so we can easily trade with all the colonies.
Finaly, someone starts the ship industry. Construction on a sloop is begun, and 5 cannons are available to be mounted on this ship on each side. This should bring in enough extra cash once complete to usher in a new era of ship building in the colonies. Or not, maybe it will fail miserably. I'm leaving this in because you'll make the money back next turnShips:

This is helpful for the production of the signature Pantsian soldier.

Another letter is sent to Sir Ian Kaeden Ainsworth of New Veragua
Sir Ainsworth,
I have contacted the injuns to the south and established an embassy.
They have agreed not to mess with us. I will continue courting more
active assistance from them. I may try to send some to your encampents
so that they may impart their quaint yet useful knowledge upon our
troops.
In other news I am considering departing for the homeland and perhaps
other neutral and friendly european ports to raise some support for the
colonial cause. If I am to do so, can I count on my neighbor to the
South to watch my colony in my absence?
I will leave the our military strategy up to you, but I would like to
know what you have in mind. Are we hunkering down and just going to ride
out the storm? Raid and pillage? So long as you are willing to defend my
land, consider yourself (or a general of your choice) commander and
chief over my troops. Try to capture and hold Spanish lands? If you
share your plans with me, I can keep them in mind in my dealings with
the Injuns and European courts.
As my neighbor and ally on the front lines you have my full faith and
support. Godspeed to us all.
Regards
-Timothy Mayor II
I can't criticize your word injun, because it was used in the
northern black-faced minstrel play Dixie. Fun fact, Dixie was written in
Ohio, near Lincoln's home. Fun fact, Abraham Lincoln liked the song and
had it played when he received news of Lee's surrender. ---

WAR!!!!!
The Northern Border
~~Year One
At first the French are nowhere to be seen. In late April, they arrive
with an army of Native Archers and Militia and march on the wall.
Colonist troops start to fire on the enemy from the wall under captain
Arthur P. Wilson. The enemy marches on the wall taking fire, but due to
the muskets inaccuracy, they did not kill many men. Captain Arthur P.
Wilson sat there and watched the battle unfold from the back. The enemy
was in range to fire. Unfortunately for them, they were in range of
musket fire now and were taking massive casualties. The troops finally
pulled back and a general retreat was ordered.
~Arthur P. Wilson~
Asks the colonies to launch an invasion of the French colonies.
The militia don't want to fight, but will if pressed (2). Like many
people, now promoted to general, General Wilson does not like Militia.
War will proceed in mini updates like this, post your war actions
Southern Front
~~Year One
The Spanish did not show up for war. Must be planning something. Or
not. But Commander Charles L. Navarette thinks so. He wants to invade
too in a nationalistic show of pride. Also known as Hubris (1). The
troops do not want to go to war and die (2).
You guys should probably discuss war plans. Turns are 3 years each, so
there are three war turns with potentially more than one battle each
especially when armies get to be big stacks of 40000 men.
Warfare will be roll to dodge type combat influenced by traits and such.
~King and Parliament~
Parliament debates on unifying taxes in the colonies and solving the tax
problem.
That failed. Parliament was devided on what taxes should be.
Kings move. The navy is sent to blockade the English Channel.
~~Naval Warfare~~
Because communication at sea is hard you cannot give orders to your
admirals.
The only person with a combat fleet is Lindiria.
Your privateers go off on their merry way. They sink 3 galleons and
reap in the spoils. As a reaction the Spanish commision pirate hunters
to hunt them down.
The king takes his fleet and sends it to blockade the english channel. A big battle takes place and The French lose. They always lose. No offense to French people It was expected. They held their own though and the British fleet are forced to stay in the channel patroling for the french. The French lose 2 ships of their 8. The Spanish send their fleet to deal with piracy in the carribean. They catch 2/8 of the privateers and hang the captains. Piracy does not hit anyone, due to the widespread naval warfare.
