Sir, I heavily advise that we fire the artillery on the nice, exposed cluster in the middle of the road first. Once the tank-killer is fragged and the infantry pukes behind it are dead or scattered we can always bombard the ones in cover.

"It's a good day to die I suppose." Platoon commander.
"Aye sir." Heavy Bolter emplacement.
(Is it me or is my team the unlucky one out of the trenches?)
I thinkI can safely place my heavy bolter emplacement inbetween warhammer and scriptwolf...I think there's enough space there for my few troopers

...*Sigh* Time to reveal myself. YES, IT IS I, THE TAU COMMANDER.

First things first, I do believe the orders thing happens to be a sixth ed. rule. Means that we can't use them (Unless Adwarf can be arsed to check the codex he's got.)

Second thing we already got the turn and such done, but Adwarf's too lazy to post it (SPAM HIS PM INBOX ;) ), and it was... dissappointing. Apart from the prelimiary bombardment, there haven't been any casualties on either side, and that's not likely to change before the fourth turn due to the night-fighting rule being in effect. MAY get exciting on the third depending on whether something "Nice" shows up

there is night fighting? crapeth, I didn't saw that.
The order thing is a 5th ed codex rule, specific to the IG.
For the lack of casualties, well, there was only the basilisk, the broadside, a couple heavy bolters and maybe 2-3 pulse rifles in range, so unsurprising.

And to warhammer 651, I believe frumple requested the sniper squad specifically first, which is the black based one.

Nah, the black based one's, uh. Well, the one warhammer's claiming, it was colored that way in the initial map. I can't even remotely tell which one has the sniper, but I'm guessing it's not that one :P If it's going in order from top to bottom, then I've got the squad on the north side of the south trench.

Speaking of which, if we're getting unique colored bases based on who's in command, I call dibs on purple.

Okay, I assumed the black squad was the sniper one, because all the others are identical. It made sense for me...
From the pixels, the sniper squad is the bottom-most one, maybe. Which mess with everything... GAH!

Yeah as Tari said the first to battle turns are done now (Sorry I forgot to post that D:) and I'll get an update later today. As Tari stated, was pretty saddening as not much happened, both rounds from the basilisk missed and most IG were sadly unable to fire due to the complications of night fighting. As a sneak peek I will say two guardsmen have died so far from some of the rules we made (Tau got air superiority, allowed pre battle bombing run), and the next update will contain more action as the Tau get fully (or at least most the way) in your range.

Rounds as in turns, and house rules as in house rules (AKA we made them to make the campaign more fun)

Now, I'd like to clarify some things about the Tau units.

First off, the units in the forested hills are fire warrior teams, not pathfinders. Markerlights would've made this a lot more painful for you. And ten thrones for the person that guesses where the Tau HQ unit is :P

Should have guessed. They have mandatory transport and there is no devilfish on the field :/. But as far as I can tell, there is no tau HQ here. there is only two different tau HQ, one in Crisis armor (there is only a broadside), and the ethereal. unless there is a very, very pixelated ethereal somewhere, the tau HQ has yet to be deployed. That, or this list is not legit and the Shas'ui is the de facto leader.
