...I wouldn't disable them using my skill. I would FIND them, and then we could AVOID them. Using chalk to mark where they are for the future.

Do you have fire immunity and DR, among other things? Then let me handle being the Backup Trapfinder.

DR, yes... just not as advanced as yours.  Fire immunity, no.  Good saves... yes.  Lots of HP... yes.  And I have already passed on the frontline person to ease the party's mind.

Yeah I think the best idea is, if the door doesn't appear to be trapped, let somebody with high saves and HP try to open it. It it's locked and not actually trapped, I open it.

+5 on Reflex and Will, +9 on Fort saves over here. You guys want to know something interesting? If you've never gotten to fight a spiked-chain wielder before, now you get to. Yep. Chain devils use- suprise- spiked chains. Up to four at once.

They also have SR (probably irrelevant since the only actual caster can't use his spells) and regeneration. And DR. And more ugly stuff.
