I had a kitten push a crippled and beaten minotaur in the head and getting a name for it, the kitten had lost all four of its legs somehow, hence why it was pushing things in the first place.
But that was ages ago.
Did the kitten survive? Because that would make the story even better. "All hail _name_ the limbless kitten that slew the mighty minotaur."
I don't usually use traps I prefer the "if my military dwarves die then we all die" approach to dwarf fortress.
Agreed
This happened a week ago, right when my fortress at that time just started, the militia commander was a miner at the time, till I had enough steel swords to start my military.
I don't know what they my dwarves were doing but they let out a stoat man from the cage, well I quickly ordered my militia to kill it before it canceled anymore jobs. Luckily my commander was on the way to the stockpile to get some food so he was the closest when the call to arms went out. He was still wielding the pick. MC (Militia commander) SM (Stoat Man)
MC charges SM knocking SM down.
MC swings the pick at SM lodging it firmly in his arm.
MC Pulls pick out of SM's arm.
SM scratches at MC but he jumps out of the way.
MC swing picks at SM's neck ripping the flesh and breaking a major artery.
(OVERKILL TIME) MC swings pick at SM's head jamming the pick in SM's eye puncturing the brain and pushing the skull in SM's brain.
