Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oskar runs straight ahead, and...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

passes through the blind and stunned swarm of rats, ending up straight in front of the MADR.
And ending his turn there.
In front of a rat as big as him.
With sharp teeth, wicked dirty claws and angry red eyes.

It is now the Mother of all Dire Rats turn!

Who misses her attack!

Tarzu readies his actions, but since he can't see beyond the rat swarm much, he doesn't see the MADR.

The Rat Swarm is blinded and stunned for this round! He does not attack!

It is now Henry's turn!

((I'm pretty sure rat swarms don't get attacks of opportunity. And even if they did, last I checked they didn't roll to hit.))

Not much Henry could do from back here, and his reserves of combat magic were almost out. Nothing for it but to move forward into the frey to see if he could be of help there.

(Assuming I have LOS to Oskar. If not, I think I only need to take a few steps east/southeast of my current position to be able to see him past the swarm?)

"Hey! Watch out!" Korina yelled at Oskar. That is just like a dwarf, running headlong into danger without thinking... she thought with a sigh as she raised a hand and cast Shield on the monk, using up her last Level 1 spell for the day.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Coralie angled her shield for maximum rat squish-ification.

Action: Try another shield bash on the rat swarm, if still alive-otherwise move forward and strike the MADR with my sword (+5 to hit, 1d6+1 slashing damag, 19/20 crit)

Korina does nothing for the turn, and Coralie's shield comes down upon the swarm once more...

It is now Minski turn!

Lady Minski is getting pretty annoyed at the Rat Swarm's unkillability. She just walks straight up to it and whacks it with her blade, entirely sure that she will slay it this time.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Oskar's flurry hits once, dealing a slight damage to the foul rat beast that strikes back with his ferocious bite!

The sharp jagged tooth of the rat literally tear a good chunk of flesh out of Oskar's body! Blood sprays everywhere!

Tarzu moves closer to the door, and sees what lies beyond it! He prepares an arrow and flings it!

The arrow hits and embeds itself deeply into the fur of the creature! It is now Henry's turn!

Henry enters the room and moves around the side, staying out of the fight and trying to get around to the other side of the rat.

This is such a stupid, stupid idea... Korina thought as she moved over the disgusting dead bodies of the rat swarm and tried to position herself to Color Spray the MADR - and only her; if she couldn't do it once she was in the room, she would just cast Resistance on herself and wait for now.

She crunched her light boots over the charred and mangled rat swarm, moving in to the attack-but she kept her shield up...poor Dwarf!

Action: Move forward and strike the MADR with my sword (+5 to hit, 1d6+1 slashing damag, 19/20 crit). Attempt a flank if possible, delaying if needed.

Well, that worked. Tarzu will see if he can hide and surprise the MADR so he can get a sneak attack bonus on his next attack(which would come immediately after hiding if possible; if not, he'd ready an arrow to fire just before the madr's next action)
