More than that it was Korina's own color spray.
The rat swarm has 4 hit dice, so it's blind+stunned for 1 round and then blinded for 4 more.
So yeah, I could have avoided the roll to begin with, but it didn't dawn to me until I was halfway through it, so I just wrote it as 'The Swarm of Rats is Blinded and stunned! It doesn't have AOO!)

“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.

So, I wasn't paying much attention. But did our monk just try to kill himself?

I mean. Comeon man. It's not that bad being a short. Fat. Hairy. Ugly. Smelly... Yeah okay. Good luck with the reincarnation thing.

Need a retcon for Korina:
shield is actually personal, not touch or line of sight.
(I made the same mistake beforehand since I believed it too to be touch like mage armor, but the SRD20
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/shield.htm
has it personal.

Well, crap. Just retcon my action into doing nothing for the turn, then.

Full day passed. No answer from Minski. Dm takes action!
*Minski commits ritualistic demon summoning*
*Gs increased to +45!*

Die you stupid rat! All we can do is auto-attack at this level!

Yeah. It's a bit of a boring thing this low level like.
You should actually give me a list of 'Gambits' you know, like in final fantasy.
For example: Is it fine for me to 'speed' up this encounter by simply giving the auto-attack feature to all melee fighters and the range attack to all range fighters?

I like that idea.

Also-Well, when we're down to one enemy and encircling it, can you just sort of...speed up the combat? :P

At this point, it's a given we'll win unless the rat critkills Korina or something. So run it with auto attacks until it dies or something bad happens. IMO

I'm proud of the one dude who's a druid who's saving the rats, not because he likes them, but because it's in character.

I'm proud of him too.
I'll probably casually forget about the explosive time ticking bomb in the cellar that is about to go off only for him.
...
nah.
