the word sutures is probably a little misleading, just read it as 'sewn shut'.

It's the same note, I think, but distorted and messed up.

I think its pretty well established that we're dreaming, our lips are physically sewn shut.
whether dreams can really hurt us or not... thats not something I'd feel comfortable about betting our life on. after all it seems our dreams have already made us mute.
and its not unthinkable that our childhood friend was driven to suicide because of the nightmares.

as for the sense of pain... it doesn't really matter if its real or not, it still hurts.

I don't mind petting Eiji a little, but we shouldn't distract him from what seems like his guarding behavior.

lets examine the rest of the room. see if we can get some more permanent light in here.
